Okay, where do I even begin? Let's start with this—Ichiba Sushi didn’t just set the bar; they are the bar. Now, I know this might sound like I’m hyping them up a bit too much, and honestly, I’ll admit that I’m probably biased. But hear me out—their tuna is so fatty, tender, and downright perfect that it literally melts in your mouth. And the eel nigiri? Same story. I mean, I’ve never had tuna or eel nigiri that even comes close to what Ichiba Sushi serves up.

Now, let's talk prices. Sure, this isn’t your typical chain sushi spot, so yeah, the prices are a bit higher. But when you stack them against other top-tier sushi places—yes, even the Michelin-starred ones—Ichiba Sushi holds its own on both quality and service. In my opinion, it’s worth every penny.

I’ve been coming here since 2019, and since I travel to Japan about twice a year from Seattle, this has become a must-stop for me every single visit. It’s gotten to the point where the staff actually recognizes me—which, I’ll admit, feels kind of special. So yeah, I might be totally biased, but if you decide to check out Ichiba Sushi, I’m confident you...

Decent sushi, but not quite the freshness you’d expect from Toyosu

I came here hoping for ultra-fresh sushi since it’s located right near Toyosu Market, but I was a little underwhelmed. The omakase presentation looked beautiful, and the variety was decent for the price (¥5,800), but many of the pieces were heavily marinated or sauced, which masked the natural flavor of the fish.

While some might enjoy the bolder, seasoned style, I personally felt it covered up what should have been the highlight — the pure freshness of Toyosu-quality seafood. It’s not bad by any means, but if you’re expecting a clean, melt-in-your-mouth raw fish experience, you may be a little disappointed.

Service was polite, and the atmosphere is fine for a quick stop, but next time I’ll probably explore other sushi spots in Tokyo that focus more on ingredient quality and...

Me and a few friends visited this store on the December 30th. We were a group of 3 but no consecutive seats were available at the counter. Instead of moving people around or asking our group to break up in seats far apart from each other, the owner waited that consecutive seats were available before calling us in. This caused the shop to extend their working time over their actual closing time. Moreover, we felt no rush at all from the stuff/sushi chefs either. This showed great professionalism. We got the tuna sets and the chef recommendation sets, which included miso soups. The sushi was fresh and rice well made. The ratio between fish/rice was perfect and the sets were well worth the price. Overall, the experience was and would definitely...

Very authentic and high-quality Sushi. The staff is awesome, especially the elder chef. He even gave us some special pieces for free to taste, he was preparing for next day or later on. Price was okay for this quantity and quality of food, but definitely not cheap. We had the two most expensive meals to be ordered, though. The day price of the deluxe menu alone was around 18.000 Yen.
