Five stars because this place does cheap steak right. This isn’t the place where you get prime steaks. It’s a place where you can get an affordable steak lunch/dinner. Please keep that in mind.
They showed me my ribeye steak before it was cooked and it had practically no marbling. My expectations were pretty much as low as can be after seeing that.
I ordered a 300g ribeye. That’s about 10oz for my fellow American folks out there. It was surprisingly good. It’s amazing what some cracked black pepper and fried garlic slices can do to elevate a cheap steak. There was also butter and a special house sauce that was you can pour on. I can’t really describe the flavor but it seems like a soy based sauce that didn’t really overpower the steak. It comes out on a hot cast iron plate with some vegetables. You get rice and soup/salad if you order the set.
Note that this place serves three types of ribeye. A full cut and two half cuts, basically a left side and a right side. My mistake was ordering such a small full cut ribeye because it came out super thin. I asked for medium rare and I got that initially but the residual heat kept it cooking. If you decide to get this normal cut ribeye, I highly recommend going bigger. Maybe something in the 400-500g range. You can also just keep it small but order it rare knowing it’ll probably finish at medium rare. I’m going to assume the half cuts will be thicker.
Aside from ribeye, there are several other cuts to choose from, many you may not have even heard of before. I haven’t tried them yet so I can’t give feedback but I’m sure they’ll...
Read moreFast and convenient steak. The steak was very tasty and came out on a sizzling plate. Rice had unlimited refills and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. We were treated well and they had an English menu also.
