The woman who works here is consistently unprofessional and, frankly speaking racist. I’ve been to this bar three times over the past year, and two times out of three, she has come to our table to tell us to "tone it down"—even though other tables are clearly louder. The only time she didn’t say anything it’s because she didn’t serve my table. The only apparent difference? We speak English.
I’ve lived in Japan for over 10 years, I’m fluent in Japanese, and I often go out with a mix of friends—some local, some international. We’re all adults over 30, and we're not there to cause a scene or act wild. We’re simply enjoying a night out, having conversations and laughing—no more than anyone else.
What’s upsetting is that she never sets expectations or rules at the beginning. Instead, she chooses to interrupt our conversations, in a way that is disrespectful and kills the mood. After the first incident, we reported it to another staff member, who apologized on her behalf. But on our last visit, when she approached us again, I told her clearly that this behavior was unacceptable and that if she had an issue, she should call out the manager or owner. She backed off immediately.
If she truly wants to maintain a professional environment, then rules—if any—should be communicated clearly and applied consistently to all customers, regardless of the language they speak. And if we’re expected to conform to so-called Japanese customs of being quiet in public, perhaps she should also consider not flaunting fully tattooed arms in a professional setting (not that I personally care—but fairness should go both ways if we’re talking about image and manners).
It’s genuinely disappointing, because the cocktails and ambiance are good. But I come here to relax and enjoy time with friends, not to deal with selective policing and...
Read moreMy recent experience at INC was far from satisfactory due to the unacceptable behavior of one of your male waiters,Yoshida, a middle-aged man wearing black-framed glasses. From the moment he approached our table, it was evident that his attitude was less than professional and welcoming.
What truly ruined our evening was his incessant rushing. Despite our drinks not being finished and no indication from us that we were ready to leave, he repeatedly hurried us along, as if we were intruding on his time. His impatience and lack of consideration were not only unsettling but also completely uncalled for in a service industry setting where customer satisfaction should be paramount.
I am extremely disappointed with the service we received and must express my concern over how such behavior is tolerated at your establishment. I hope that this feedback serves as a wake-up call for management to address the issue of poor customer service and train staff to treat patrons with the respect and attention they deserve. I urge others to reconsider their choices based on the substandard service we...
Read moreUnfortunately had a bad experience with your female staff. She has long tied hair and is always standing at the entrance to greet customers. This is my second time visiting INC. The first time, I was confused about why she treated us poorly, perhaps due to a language barrier. This time, I came with my husband, who speaks perfect Japanese. We like your drinks and wanted to recommend them to our friends.
There was a misunderstanding about the number of people at our table because my friend invited someone without consulting my husband. Your female staff complained rudely and with a harsh tone to my husband, who explained that he didn't know the other person was coming. While I enjoy your drinks and the bar vibe, overall, it was a really bad experience with the rude female staff for the second time. I may not recommend it anymore.
EDIT: and they blocked me on Instagram for complaining! What a disappointment. Hope you guys having better experience than mine. Tip: maybe avoid the long tied hair...
