INITIAL Omotesando — Restaurant in Tokyo

Horrible experience. Maybe the worst café experience I’ve experienced. They made us wait outside in the hot sun.

On top of this, every person is REQUIRED to order atleast one dessert AND drink. This was not told to us up on entering, it was told after we had received 2 items. We didn’t want to order drinks, frankly none of them sounded good. But ordering drinks were forced upon us.

When they noticed only 2 people in our group ordered a desert (a group of 3 people in total btw) they got angry and told the 3rd person to order. 2 separate waiters told us that the 3rd order needed to be made. We got told to order 4 times in total. A very hostile enviroment AND businessmodel.

On top of this the items weren’t that great. Sure they were pretty. But were they tasty? Barely.

To summarize, it was just a hostile, expensive and unfriendly customer...

I came here to get soft serve. In my experience soft serve is very quick. However, it took so long for me to receive my order despite me being the only other customer in the store (the other customer was already served). There were FIVE girls working and they were just standing around doing other prep work instead of working on my order. Just taking it slow like the store wasn’t open, laughing and joking. I saw one girl straight up start eating whipped cream she was whipping, straight out of the bowl! Sure, chefs need to taste but don’t do it in the reception area! after me, so many people came in and they were served relatively quickly. After all this trouble I was hoping at least the ice cream would make up for it. It’s wasn’t awful but the flavor combination did not compliment each...

Went with a friend on a weeknight. It's a stylish sweets cafe. Good atmosphere, a bit pricey. The menu has lots of pictures. I ordered the strawberry parfait. It was pretty good. It was nicely presented. The strawberries were a bit tart. The base layer of the parfait was jelly?, I'm not sure. It wasn't unpleasant but it seemed a little unnecessary.
