The donuts are sold inside the cafe that's called 'The Little Bakery Tokyo'. Oh my god. The donuts here are SO good. They're the closest thing I've had to New York style donuts whilst in Japan. They have amazing flavour to them, as well as the perfect light and chewy texture. We arrived at about 2pm and queued for about 10 mins. Although they were sold out of many flavours, they were churning out fresh donuts every now and then. If you don't see exactly what you're after, I'd recommend getting a coffee or something and hanging around outside to see what comes out. We initially got 2 donuts, one traditional glaze and one strawberry lemonade (the strawberry lemonade was unreal). We then saw them bringing out the maple bacon flavour and had to grab one. Good thing we did because it was easily the best of the bunch. The coffee was okay. Not the best we've had but pretty good. The donut flavours are all labelled in english as well as Japanese. We were unable to get a seat inside as it was super busy, however managed to secure a spot on one of their benches outside. Although we didn't try any, I did see a couple of vegan options on the menu. I marked down slightly as they coffees took about 15-20 minutes to come out, and the queue was a bit chaotic it was hard to figure out...

Saying it right now - they had some of the best doughnuts I've had in my life! A bit expensive; around 400 yen each, but personally I felt worth the money. They were huge, soft, moist, and not overbearingly sweet. We were supposed to have one but ended up buying three. Coffee was good too, but really, go here for the doughnuts. They had vegan options here, but we didn't try any.
We got there around 9:30, so they just opened. So we didn't experience any issues with stocks since they were fully stocked.
We had our food to go so we sat outside by the bench in front of the store. The shop has a quaint, cozy, classic Americana vibe with its all-wood interior designs. Retro posters and vintage figurines line the walls.
I'd give the place a five, but I'm giving it a four because while I found the doughnuts great the place looks great, personally I thought the staff were not that accommodating. They even seemed a bit impatient when we asked if we could have steamed milk with our coffee on the side (not sure though if this is not a typical request in Japan, but we asked in other cafes and there...
Read moreTo be frank, these doughnuts were some of the best I’ve ever had. I don’t usually write reviews but I would honestly feel guilty if I didn’t for this shop- it was that tasty.
Located off the main road, this place is among those on a little strip of shops, serving up a very casual, warm experience. We got the van holten chocolate crunch, silica lemon poppy seed, and the LOVE raspberry. Each one was around 400¥, about average for sweets in Tokyo, but they were larger than usual for Japanese portions imo. There is no drip coffee but they have a machine, and the americano is 450¥ (average for coffee in the area).
The dough itself is fluffy but filling, and each doughnut’s icing had a slightly different texture but complemented it very nicely. The lemon poppyseed was a melt in-your-mouth type that left a slight tart after-taste. The raspberry one had real seeds and the sweetness of the berry, not an artificial taste at all. The chocolate crunch had a creamier icing with a very nice chocolate crunch sprinkled on top. The coffee was also very good, heavy and almost creamy.
All in all I would definitely recommend this place if you are...
