I know I am not allowed, but I say it is 3.5 stars for unfriendly staffs.
We went to The Little Bakery Tokyo for some afternoon desserts. It was a popular spot as expected. The inside is a bit on a small side, as it is a cafe and not a restaurant. They had lots of American stuff as decoration, as they say this cafe is American-inspired.
There is a large table in the middle, with their food offerings, pies, etc. The customers have to go around the table the long way, finally getting to the ordering and cashier. Next to the ordering counter is a window case filled with doughnuts, made by Good Town Doughnuts, who is a sister company to The Little Bakery Tokyo.
When you are ordering and paying for your food, they ask you if you want to eat-in or to-go. This is the only way you get a table (if available). Now, the staffs were not very polite nor super nice, which was said by some customers from the past. The seating area is small, with a handful of tables and counter seating as well.
We ordered three donuts, and Oat Milk Latte to go with them. Their doughnuts looks really good, and a nice large size, as they call āAmerican sizeā doughnuts.
The first doughnut of choice was California Strawberry Lemonade Doughnut. Really nice flavor of strawberry and lemonade, super tasty!
The second one was Van Houten Chocolate Crunch Doughnut. Now, I donāt know if this is made with actual Van Houten chocolate, or they just like using American names, like āCaliforniaā strawberry lemonade⦠Regardless, it was chocolate-y, and I enjoyed the texture of the chocolate crunch.
Last but not least, Kyoto Uji Matcha Doughnut. It had a real matcha flavor, a bit bitter, mixed with sweet white chocolate to have the perfect balance of bitterness and sweetness.
We had a nice dessert time here. We enjoyed all the doughnuts. Great flavor and large size, sure to fill you up. The latte was quite good too, rich...

I came to this restaurant because itās popular and well-known, especially since many famous people have eaten here. Maybe thatās why one of the staff act arrogant, as if she doesnāt need to care about the customers.
After my partner and I finished ramen next door, we were waiting for my mother and sister before coming in. While waiting, we took a few casual photos outside. A server immediately came to scold us, saying photos are not allowed until after ordering ā with such a rude face and unwelcoming attitude.
Hereās my point: if the restaurant has rules like that, why not simply put up a clear, professional sign? That way, guests can read it and avoid being embarrassed by staff treating them as if theyāre trying to eat for free. And that was just one example ā there are other rules here that make no sense at all.
It feels like the restaurant thinks its fame gives it the right to treat people however they want. If thatās the case, I hope they enjoy their reputation while it lasts.
P.S. I later saw that many reviews also complain about the same rude behavior, and yet nothing has been improved. If you plan to visit, be ready to face staff who may ruin your day. If youāre in a good mood and want to suddenly ruin it, this is the...

This place is not for drink or eat something. Most of people are really busy to take the photos to upload IG or somewhere. And the all staffs over there are really rude. Also, they are not good at English so quite difficult to make an order. (When I visited here last time, I can see the staff who can speak English but I couldn't see on this time.) I have to wait 30mins just only for TWO CAFE AND ONE DONUT. I asked for how many minutes that I have to wait over there BUT NO ONE APOLOGIZE, NO ONE CARE, HE ANSWERED TO ME JUST ONLY WITH THIS LINE.
"WHAT?"
Hey are you serious? Even if the customers who made order late than me, they already got there food/drinks. That was the reason that why I asked for how many minutes that I ever have to wait.
I been here almost 4-5 times during 1 year but most awful experience during 4-5 times and really appreciate for you guys. I will never visit here anymore. The taste getting worst but price going higher.
Also, the staff who wearing white t-shirts, red hat. DO WORK. STOP CHATTING WITH YOUR FRIENDS. ALMOST 10 CUSTOMERS WERE STANDING AT THE QUE TO ORDER AND OVER THAN 10-20 PEOPLE WAS WAITING TO RECEIVE MENUS.
Most awful experience and I hope no one go...
