Really delicious burgers but this is definitely a “get in, eat and get out” type of restaurant on busy days. This is my second review here and my impression has changed after coming with a group.
They’ll typically give you a menu while waiting in line and you HAVE to chose your food even before you enter the establishment. I’m not sure how I feel about this type of style since it makes me feel rushed. The guy came back over and over asking us for our orders but only giving us a few minutes to look everything over. We obviously didn’t know what we wanted because barely any time had passed and the menu is quite large, yet we felt pressured to pick something immediately. One person in our party didn’t arrive on time so they refused to seat us until they came which is their prerogative but any other burger restaurant (like Bubby’s) would seat you anyways. Then, when our orders were taken the guy yanked the drink menu out of one my friend’s hands even though she was still interested in ordering a drink. It was just a weird vibe and the whole time we felt rushed and pressured. As I stated, this menu is extensive so I think it would be best to ask for orders when we are at least given 5 minutes to look at it.
For patrons, my advice is arrive in line with your whole party or else you won’t get seated, and decide what you want quickly: drinks burger and dessert. From what we were told you might not get a chance to order later if it’s too busy. We luckily did get to order another dessert afterwards but it was a little difficult to get someone’s attention and take our order once seated.
Our burgers and fries were great, you can choose between wedges or shoestring fries. My ice cream topped brownie was a little dry and not soft and fudgey like I was hoping for. It was more crumbly and dry and the nuts inside were too big. It’s hard to find good brownies in Japan though so I’m not really surprised unfortunately.
Also if you’re a foreigner and can’t speak Japanese, I read a lot of reviews on here about the staff hiking the price or wrongly charging people. This could purely be miscommunication but I would keep track of the prices on the menu and double check at the register so this doesn’t happen. I didn’t double check my bill and I don’t think this happened to our group because we were able to communicate with the staff but now I’m a little...
Read moreA 5 star for the quality of food and flavor, a 4 star for the price and overall experience. A long line is formed out the door on the regular. Had a chicken sandwich and a cheese burger. Around 1200 yen each. Not so big for the price. Rather smaller. They were very nicely done, crisp on the outside and flavorful on the inside. Even the side of fries were pretty good. That’s how you know they are not trying to cut corners.
However, They served my food on a messy plate with guac-looking junk on it, never bothered to clean up the goop. Visually it was not pleasant, just look at my photo, it looks like diner food... which is usually fire but nobody would pay this price.
The side of free coffee (or any drink on the lunch menu) is nice, but you can’t slip a cheap brown water by me. it’s a super watered-down Lion coffee from Costco, I guarantee it like George Zimmer on Copypasta.
Just not sure if I’d pay 1200 for a sandwich I’d get at the “no-name deli” downtown back home.
You could probably cook up something similar if you know a thing or two about meats and grilling anyway. For a tourist, this is a pass, you’d be much better off spending that money at a traditional Japanese place.
There was a line out the door at 1pm when I got there, and I waited for about 10-15 min. Those after me seemed to have waited till I finished the meal, maybe about 30-40 min. Worth the wait? In this area when you crave a good, decent American food, then yes. Not so much if you know how to grill some decent sammiches.
you’d...

We experienced what felt like clear racial discrimination at this restaurant, and it left us shocked and hurt.
We (a family of color with a baby) waited outside patiently for a table. We saw diners leave and tables open up, but no one came to seat us. Then a group of white tourists arrived after us and were immediately given a table — right in front of us. When we questioned this, the staff claimed there was a “confusion.”
Still giving them the benefit of doubt, we placed a to-go order since we’d been waiting with our 1-year-old for a long time. But while we were paying, we saw a table open up and asked if we could just eat there instead. They refused, saying we couldn't because we had ordered takeout — even though no one else was waiting for that table.
Let me be clear. This was not a language barrier or cultural misunderstanding. It was a pattern of unequal treatment that was hard to ignore. We were polite and patient throughout, but the staff made it clear who they prioritized.
If you believe in basic respect and equal treatment, I would not recommend supporting this business. I sincerely hope the management addresses this behavior — no one should have to feel this way simply...
