Ate here a few months ago and they made the sesame dipping sauce vegan for us so that we could try the soba (which was amazing), but when we went yesterday we found out IT NOW HAS DASHI IN IT 😭 and they apparently cannot make it without it. They do not have any vegan options now unless you enjoy eating plain soba... 👎🏼

One star because while most places in Tokyo are realising it's 2018 and offering vegan options to keep up with demand, this place is going backwards and taking their only vegan option away. Even the tempura dipping sauce has dashi in it.

I've actually had better luck at the vending machine soba shops in Tokyo station because sometimes they are willing to make us a vegan dipping sauce without dashi, which is crazy because it's about 1/4 of the price! Just wish there was an option for higher quality...

細打ち・太打ちで選べるコシのある蕎麦でした。量もたっぷりあり、大満足の一言です。天ぷら、出汁巻玉子も絶品。接客も丁寧でした。リピ決定です。

Hearty soba noodles for great value. Their default cut is thick noodles, so be sure to ask for thin-cut noodles if that’s what you prefer (personally, thin-cuts go better with sesame broth). The tempura and egg rolls were excellent. Friendly service!

I’m seeing some disappointed vegan reviews here, but to be fair, katsuo dashi (bonito stock) is very much a part of Kanto soba culture, and the restaurant should not be faulted for it. Go here for an authentic culinary experience; if you need your food to be a particular style, seek other...

거진 1년 만에 다시 방문한 도쿄 그때 먹었던 좋은 기억이 다시 나를 이곳으로 발걸음을 옮기게 했다. 비록 소바에 견문이 넓지 않은 나지만 넓지 않으면 어떤가 맛있는 것은 맛있는 것인것을! 그때에 겨울에 먹었던 오리고기 온소바(카모난반소바)를 잊지 못하여 이번엔 자루소바를 도전 하기 위해 다시 돌아왔다. 일요일 저녁 20분 정도의 웨이팅 후 들어간 가게는 그때의 기억처럼 아늑한 분위기였으며 그때와 마찬가지로 문맹인 나는 영어 메뉴판을 부탁드린 뒤 참치 타다끼와 타마고야끼(계란말이), 모둠 텐푸라를 주문하고 오리고기 소스와 함께 찍어 먹는 소바(카모세이로소바)를 주문하고 면은 얇게 부탁드렸다. (매장의 정식 메뉴명은 아직도 영어로 주문하여 잘 모른다!) 제일 먼저 나온 참치 타다키는 붉은 살을 썼음에도 불구하고 잡내음 없으 깔끔했으며 같이 올라간 차조기와 파의 싱그러움 메밀 튀김조각의 고소하고 크런치한 식감, 산미가 충만한 소스가 어우러져 그냥 집어먹기에는 강렬한 맛이지만 여기에 곁들여지는 생맥과의 조합은 이루 말할 수 없다! 그 이후 붙어 나온 계란말이는 와일드하게 간 무오로시와 함께 나오는데 필자는 솔직히 일식의 달달한 계란말이는 선호하지 않는 편이지만 이곳의 계란말이는 시로의 깔끔한 감칠맛과 무오로시의 시원함이 잘 어우러져 맛있게 먹믈 수 있었다. 혹시 달달한 계란말이를 기대한다면 비추천 하는 바이다. 모둠 덴푸라는 튀김옷이 과하지 않고 딱 적당히 튀겨져 맛이 일품이었고 그 중에서 모찌리도후에 절인음식이 같이 올라간 튀김이 필자에 최고 취향이 었으면 그 튀김의 농후함 도후의 쫄깃함 절인 츠케모노 양념의 적당한 산뜻함이 조화롭게 같이 넘어가 최고였다. 대망의 소바의 경우 먼저 메밀을 자주 드시지 않은 분들의 기준으로 말씀 드리자면 조금 실망할 여지가있다. 이곳의 소바는 메밀 함량이 높아 쫄깃함보다는 툭툭 끊어진다 느껴질 수도있고 밀가루의 맛이라고 실망하는 분들이 계실까봐 적는다. 메밀 함량이 높은 만큼 메밀의 향과 식감이 차가운 면에서 깊게 느껴졌으며 찍어먹는 소스의 중후함과 어우러져 새로운 맛이 난다. 필자 또한 메밀의 엄청난 애호가가 아니기 때문에 굵은 면보다 소스의 맛이 잘 느껴지는 얇은 면을 주문한 것이며 혹시 처음 메밀 소바를 입문하시는 분이라면 온소바인 가모난반소바쪽을 추천하는 바이다. 음식 자체는 메밀의 고소함도 향도 진하게 느껴지고 찍어먹는 소스 또한 중후한 오리고기의 맛과 구운파의 향 싱그러운 잎채소의 향연이 완벽했다. 그러나 필자는 아직 메밀의 매력이 버거운것 같다. 차가운 면을 따듯한 소스에 찍어 먹는 것도 어색했고 메밀의 맛과 향이 소스보다 오래 남아 아쉬웠다. 음식은 정말 메밀 본연의 맛을 잘 살렸고 오리고기 소스의 맛 또한 나무랄것 없었지만 그저 아직 필자에겐 조금 이른것 같다. 그러니 꼭 처음 입문하는 분이라면 가모난반소바(국물있는 소바)로 시작하시고 그 이후 메밀의 맛을 더 진하게 느끼고 싶은 분든은 가모세이로소바 얇은 면, 그 다음에 굵은면 순서로 도전하길 바란다. 필자는 꼭 다음에 가모난반소바로 다시 찾아갈 것이며 다른분들의 오해가 일어나지 않길 바라고 요리사의 노고가 오해로 폄하 되는일 없기를 바라며 남긴다. 총평 4.3점 강한 메밀맛의 호불호가 있을수 있는 메밀 고인물 식당 뉴비에게도 친절하나 메뉴선택에는 신중하자!

One of the best soba restaurant I’ve been. The soba was cooked to perfection (al dente), and the accompanying side dishes were exquisite as well. I came in thinking I had to use a Japanese menu, and starting using Google translate to view the menu. Upon seeing this, the service staff quickly stepped in to assist us with an English menu. I really liked the interior of the restaurant, which was very modern and contemporary. It’s a great semi casual place for dinner with friends and partners. Highly recommended!

(매장의 정식 메뉴명은 아직도 영어로 주문하여 잘 모른다!) 제일 먼저 나온 참치 타다키는 붉은 살을 썼음에도 불구하고 잡내음 없으 깔끔했으며 같이 올라간 차조기와 파의 싱그러움 메밀 튀김조각의 고소하고 크런치한 식감, 산미가 충만한 소스가 어우러져 그냥 집어먹기에는 강렬한 맛이지만 여기에 곁들여지는 생맥과의 조합은 이루 말할 수 없다! 그 이후 붙어 나온 계란말이는 와일드하게 간 무오로시와 함께 나오는데 필자는 솔직히 일식의 달달한 계란말이는 선호하지 않는 편이지만 이곳의 계란말이는 시로의 깔끔한 감칠맛과 무오로시의 시원함이 잘 어우러져 맛있게 먹믈 수 있었다. 혹시 달달한 계란말이를 기대한다면 비추천 하는 바이다. 모둠 덴푸라는 튀김옷이 과하지 않고 딱 적당히 튀겨져 맛이 일품이었고 그 중에서 모찌리도후에 절인음식이 같이 올라간 튀김이 필자에 최고 취향이 었으면 그 튀김의 농후함 도후의 쫄깃함 절인 츠케모노 양념의 적당한 산뜻함이 조화롭게 같이 넘어가 최고였다. 대망의 소바의 경우 먼저 메밀을 자주 드시지 않은 분들의 기준으로 말씀 드리자면 조금 실망할 여지가있다. 이곳의 소바는 메밀 함량이 높아 쫄깃함보다는 툭툭 끊어진다 느껴질 수도있고 밀가루의 맛이라고 실망하는 분들이 계실까봐 적는다. 메밀 함량이 높은 만큼 메밀의 향과 식감이 차가운 면에서 깊게 느껴졌으며 찍어먹는 소스의 중후함과 어우러져 새로운 맛이 난다. 필자 또한 메밀의 엄청난 애호가가 아니기 때문에 굵은 면보다 소스의 맛이 잘 느껴지는 얇은 면을 주문한 것이며 혹시 처음 메밀 소바를 입문하시는 분이라면 온소바인 가모난반소바쪽을 추천하는 바이다. 음식 자체는 메밀의 고소함도 향도 진하게 느껴지고 찍어먹는 소스 또한 중후한 오리고기의 맛과 구운파의 향 싱그러운 잎채소의 향연이 완벽했다. 그러나 필자는 아직 메밀의 매력이 버거운것 같다. 차가운 면을 따듯한 소스에 찍어 먹는 것도 어색했고 메밀의 맛과 향이 소스보다 오래 남아 아쉬웠다. 음식은 정말 메밀 본연의 맛을 잘 살렸고 오리고기 소스의 맛 또한 나무랄것 없었지만 그저 아직 필자에겐 조금 이른것 같다. 그러니 꼭 처음 입문하는 분이라면 가모난반소바(국물있는 소바)로 시작하시고 그 이후 메밀의 맛을 더 진하게 느끼고 싶은 분든은 가모세이로소바 얇은 면, 그 다음에 굵은면 순서로 도전하길 바란다. 필자는 꼭 다음에 가모난반소바로 다시 찾아갈 것이며 다른분들의 오해가 일어나지 않길 바라고 요리사의 노고가 오해로 폄하 되는일 없기를 바라며 남긴다. 총평 4.3점 강한 메밀맛의 호불호가 있을수 있는 메밀 고인물 식당 뉴비에게도 친절하나 메뉴선택에는 신중하자!

One of the best soba restaurant I’ve been. The soba was cooked to perfection (al dente), and the accompanying side dishes were exquisite as well. I came in thinking I had to use a Japanese menu, and starting using Google translate to view the menu. Upon seeing this, the service staff quickly stepped in to assist us with an English menu. I really liked the interior of the restaurant, which was very modern and contemporary. It’s a great semi casual place for dinner with friends and partners. Highly recommended!
