Booked the last minute and was told only counter seats available. It was a pleasant surprise that they actually led us to a table of four in a nice surrounding. However, it went downhills from here on.
We were made for a long time after the water service. Then they provided us with oilve oil, with no bread. Then waited another 10 minutes for the bread to arrive. Then another 5-10 minutes for the waiter to take our order. Seemingly there is a deal of two or three glass of wines for a discounted price. But they limit the choices with the cheapest options, not specified on the menu though. We ordered different sets. Appetizers are fine. Chilled corn soup I served in a deep bowl, which is little different eat from. Both rigatoni and linguini arrabiata are spot on and really enjoyable. Fish is good, but not excellent Veal osso buck is bland and very dry. Sirloin is not terrible but a little unevenly cooked.
Overall, it is not an expensive meal, but left a lot to be desired, especially if you compare with the Italian cooking in New York. Services are very good, after the...
Read moreNice selection of pastas, with a frequently changing menu. They have a seasonal menu. Both of the pastas I tried this time were good, very nice actually. I had hoped to try their cacio e pepe. Although, it didn’t work out since that menu item had already gone away for this month. Their carbonara was very nice though. Good texture. The menu is definitely a bit expensive. Costs about 10,000 for the two people. Although for a nice occasion, it can feel nicely. I’ll definitely comeback. Although I’ll recommend the website to update the menu. The days previous before I came for this meal, their old menu was still shown online. It would obviously be more accurate if they would update their changing...
Read moreGood Italian restaurant in the Janu / Azabudai Hills complex. Overall this is a very nice restaurant with amazing design, space and lighting. The pasta was very good (although very small portion), the fish tartar was delicious (but I wish the dish was completely raw and not slightly cooked) and the bread / focaccia offering was very limited for an Italian restaurant. I realize this is a brand new hotel with new restaurants and staff, so I do think they still have a bit to improve. Be more generous with the portion sizes, have a large bread / focaccia selections, think about adding more olive oil options (or a tasting) and have more small sides to the...
