The chicken is one of the best in tokyo, may be in japan. The two reasons I think is tge spice used on the bread crum and bone. In japan you won't find chicken with bone. Japanese people prefer boneless meat which I think is one of the best part of chicken.
There are different flavours you can choose but I liked the regular one, the yanyum was too sweet for my taste. The garlic one was also good. And the chicken is juicy and crunchy.
The dishes here are heavy. Not much light menus. But other dish like steak, chijimi are also good. Alcohol options like makkori is also available which goes well with chicken.
The owner is very helpful and quick to act. Service is good. But we went during day time where there was no customer so dont know waiting time and service situtation during peak time.
Overall i think this place is best for fried chicken. Other places also provides chicken with bone but spice used makes the taste better. Highly recommend thos place for chicken if you are near shinokubo.
Price: cant complain much with all the inflation. But we paid 2500yen each...
Read moreDo yourself a favor and eat here. This is one of the better Korean chicken places I've been to in Tokyo. It's a little rundown, has a used feeling. It's further down the street than the other places, so traffic is light. While we were there, not many people came and went. We ordered three flavors of chicken; bbq, a honey-soy sauce and yangnyeom-tong. The yangnyoem was boneless and on point. The meat was juicy, the skin crispy and not too fatty. The pickled radish was excellent, sweet and vinegary, with no sulfur after-taste. It, along with the cabbage salad, were bottomless. The topokki was good, chewier than I expected. I worried a few times I might choke but I survived. This place...
Read moreGreat chicken! Went at about 8pm~ish and it was still a little busy, I waited about 5-10 mins for a table. I ordered the yangnyeom half size that comes with cabbage and radish, also got the corn cheese which I love and the corn tea. Total was ¥3300 and I was too full that I had to bring the leftover chicken home! Also they let you take leftovers and even pack it for you which is nice. The owner is friendly, he speaks Korean and Japanese 😊
The location is about a 5 minute walk from the station but it’s a fun walk, and I think it’s worth it to support a small family establishment. There is also an English menu if you scan the QR code so foreigner...
