Kazan Ginzakuresuton — Restaurant in Tokyo

I’m ignoring the price in this review because I’m not even sure how to review a meal at this price level. The food was delicious. The flavors were presented with intentionality, and I took the time to appreciate each flavor. Our chef paid close attention to everything he prepared, and in turn I paid close attention to everything I ate. This created a very rewarding experience. Although the portions are on the smaller side, you won’t go home hungry. I chose the lobster and Matsuzaka beef set, and it came with many things to sample. The lobster was perfectly cooked and delicious. This was my first experience with wagyu, so I have nothing to compare it against. However, the beef was incredibly tender. My teeth sliced right through, and the flavor was good. I think I still prefer a good ribeye since I prefer the flavor of the meat to be the prevalent flavor. This was more like seared fat marbled with meat. After the meal we were led to the lounge where we enjoyed tea and desert. Overall, this was a very nice experience, and I’m glad we tried it. The only reason for the missing fifth star is that I don’t think I would have come if I knew it would cost ¥35,000 for the two of us. So obviously this place is expensive, but the A4 sirloin and fillet are both amazing. Salad appetizer is underwhelming and grilled bean sprouts are pretty hard to care about after the meat, but I’ve been here a few times and the beef has always been consistently great. They serve it with small sides of salt, fried garlic, ponzu, garlic soy sauce, horseradish, and wasabi which is pretty funny since the flavor of the beef easily stands up on its own. ・料理 予約時に苦手な食材を伝えていましたが、一切反映されませんでした。 味付けが塩辛すぎて、まともに食べられませんでした。 デザートの内容が二人で微妙に異なりました。その理由も一切説明されませんでした。 デザートはフルーツとケーキがついてきましたが、フルーツは賞味期限切れかと思うくらい質が悪く、ケーキはスーパで安売りされていそうなくらい不味かったです。適当に余り物を寄せ集めたのでしょうか。あまりにも酷かったので、ほとんど残しました。

・サービス 特別な記念日での利用でしたが、予約内容と食事代を他の客に聞こえるくらい大声で説明されたため、相手に食事代がバレバレです。普通、電話で事前に確認するか予約者に小声で説明するものではないでしょうか。 デザートが出てくる頃になると、ウェイターが急かしてきて、落ち着いて食事ができませんでした。 反対に、デザートが出てくるとウェイターの姿を一切見なくなり、会計すらできなくなりました。食事会場には私たち以外誰もいなかったので、ホテル内で店員を探しようやく会計ができました。ウェイターは早く帰宅したかったのかな。
