Shabuzen — Restaurant in Tokyo

Pros: Magnificent evening view by the window overlooking the city and Tokyo Tower from afar. This would be a great place to impress if you come here on a business occasion.

I pre-ordered the “all you can eat” set and the amount of beef definitely was more than enough. The set included an appetiser (sashimi), hot dish (fish cod), endless beef and vegetables, as well as dessert.

Most of the guests who visited were either people on business dinner or couples who could afford to pay a dearer fee for quiet dinner.

Cons: Unfortunately the restaurant was located quite far away from the train station, and hidden inside a subtle hotel. Google Map was NOT reliable at all in terms of the exact location of the restaurant. If you are reading this review and scheduled to visit the place, please make sure you enter from the entrance of the Ginza Creston hotel instead of going inside the Garden office towers!!

The quality of the beef was not as good as I expected, given the price of the set. The sauces provided were also quite disappointing, as it didn’t add value into the beef. The vegetables were also quite flavourless too.

The interiors of the restaurant, or the entire atmosphere of the hotel (where the restaurant was located within), was rather “dull” and lack of vibrancy.

Overall, I wouldn’t return to this restaurant, mainly because the quality of the beef didn’t live up to my expectations, and I thought the soup base and the sauces could be better for shabu shabu. The location was also too far away to come...

This is a shabu restaurant on the 32 floor of Creston hotel near the waterfront of Ginza.
