Kissako — Restaurant in Tokyo

One of the best culinary experiences we’ve had so far in Tokyo. When we arrived, we had to put our name on a waiting list. After about 30 minutes, we were seated and greeted with a lovely tea. We could choose from four different dessert options. We both had matcha tea and mochi, and both were absolutely delicious.

The interior had a classic Japanese style, and the waitress wore a kimono with zōri sandals. We were the only foreign guests, which made the experience feel even more special. We struggled a little with unfolding the mochi from the leaf, but the waitress was keen to help us.

15:00〜案内開始6-7組？案内で満卓のお知らせ。 15:40 何組か一斉に退店されお会計 お会計はカードなら横棟の韻松亭に案内されてる様子。現金はテーブルでOK。 やっと呼出され15:45入店、 店内見ると、卓4-4-2-2-2-6の20名までかな？ メニューを記帳してても、着席後オーダーを再確認してくれて、離れの厨房から作られて配膳されます。

お味は、塩梅よく甘過ぎず一つ一つ味わえるあんみつです。生麩、寒天、白玉、アイスや黒蜜に相まって味に飽きることなく最後まで美味でした。

多分、三回転でクローズ。 受付表は、いつの間にか〆切られていたのでお早目に〜！ 偶然見つけて、ふらっと立ち寄れて良かったです。 待ち時間長かったけど、猛暑を乗り越えた甲斐がありました。上品なクリームあんみつ食べたい方は是非！

Looking inside the restaurant, it seems that there are 20 people in tables 4-4-2-2-2-6. Even though we wrote down the menu, they reconfirmed our order after we sat down, and it was made and served in the kitchen in the annex.

The taste was anmitsu, which was not too sweet and well-balanced, so you could taste each piece one by one. Combined with the namafu, agar, shiratama, ice cream and brown sugar syrup, it was delicious until the end without getting tired of the taste.

We had the matcha, peach, and strawberry ice cream cones. I really liked my matcha ice cream and my friend enjoyed her peach, but my other friend was disappointed with her strawberry ice cream. She was expecting a more soft serve texture, but the texture was more solid. The cones are just regular thin cones, crispy but not a lot of flavor. Overall a decent place...
