Located a stone throw away from Ueno Station (JR), this anime heaven houses 6 stories worth of anime/otaku stuff.
Every level is neaty organised based on theme for eg:
Naruto and One Piece Studio Ghibli films Monster Hunter and Gundam (two very famous series in Japan) Hello Kitty etc.
This place is tax free, of course a minimum 5.5k Yen spending in a single receipt is needed ( passport to be produced ).There is something for everyone here, just make sure your wallet is fat enough LOL!
Something to highlight was during my visit, it was raining cats and dogs outside. Their SOP is they will place a plastic cover over the paper bag to protect the goods. Last thing, the pictures, included in this review, are things I found interesting and do not represent the majority of what is found...
Read moreA flagship store for those who love animes and are looking for items which are harder to find. So many floors you can easily spend an afternoon here.
Be aware that the space is very claustrophobic and it can be overwhelming and definitely challenging for any mobility impairments or sensory overload challenges people may face.
The staff are tired and not very polite as I guess they must answer the same questions a thousand times but they can be impatient with English speakers so do your best to be polite and clear.
It is hard to find everything you want without proper searching or help, take your time but if you are in the area and committed, split your visit over two days and just do a couple floors at a time.
There are some rare things here like Katamari Damacy that are hard to...
