Kitakata Shokudo Shimbashi — Restaurant in Tokyo

Food was good but very confusing place and frankly annoying. I entered the place, and was asked to buy the ticket for the food I wanted. So far so good. Then he asks me to give him the tickets.. thought to myself why? There are two customers in front of me and don’t we typically give the tickets after you sit?? But I did anyway, and the guy yelled at me saying you’re cutting line. And of course these two Japanese customers were laughing… I am Japanese american and speak perfect Japanese and yet still was confused. I thought to myself it must be me… but don’t think so. Anyway, the food was great - no...

Alright my confused English-speaking tourists, here's how you order:

Ask the staff for the English menu Put money into the machine on your left Make your selection Collect your change and tickets Sit down and hand the tickets to the chef and tell them if you want 1 (light broth) or 2 (Broth with pork fat)

If you don't tell them, I think they default 1 for you (which I believe is what I got - shoyu ramen).

When you are done, put your bowl on the countertop where the chef serves you and they will collect it.

Overall, the staff caught on quick that I did not know what I was doing, so...

朝ラー最高❗️ まさかの7時開店且つ年中無休って神過ぎます。

祝日の朝、会社に用足しに行くついでに朝飯にラーメン食べたくなり、探してみたらこちらがヒット。 まさかオフィス街で祝日の朝から営業なんてな～と思いましたが、数日前の写真に無休の文字を見つけ、ダメもとで来店。 やってました❗️朝の7時からラーメンと丼が食べられます❗️ しかも祝日なんで他にはお二人ほどのみです。

普通に醤油ラーメン食べようと思ってましたが、券売機でトロタク丼セットがプラス300円。 誘惑に勝てるわけがありません...... そこまで人間出来てません......

で、トロタク丼セット990円の食券を出すと、アイスコーヒーか、スムージーのどちらにしますか？と。 へ～朝はそんなサービスもあんのね～ アイスコーヒーいただきましたが、加糖なのがちと残念。

トロタク丼から来ました。先に食べちゃおかな～と写真撮ってたら麺が茹で上がるタイマーの音。 やっぱラーメン待ってよーっと。 来ました禁断の朝ラー(笑) まずはスープから。スッキリとマッタリの2種類から選べるスープ。要は背脂入りかどうかなんだけど、普通の喜多方ラーはあっさり過ぎて途中で飽きることがあったり... ...
