Kiyoyasu House Roppongi — Restaurant in Tokyo

Just a one-minute walk from Roppongi Crossing, this hidden spot surrounded by seasonal flowers offers one of the best tonkatsu and wagyu katsu experiences I’ve ever had in Japan.

I tried the Yamato Pork Loin Katsu (180g, ¥2,500) — award-winning pork with amazing juiciness and crispiness — and the Japanese Beef Sirloin Rare Katsu (100g, ¥3,500), perfectly tender and full of flavor. Both came with seasonal appetizers and well-crafted condiments.

The setting is calm and elegant, but the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality. Definitely one of the most memorable and worth-it lunch sets in Tokyo.

The atmosphere is nice but the pricing is just not honest… We booked the 13,200 course and as you can see on the pictures, all dishes are very small… we had to go to buy onigiri at the konbini after. Came here for lunch. Seems most people make reservations (even for weekday lunch!) But we were able to sit at the counter without one, when we walked in before the lunchtime rush.
