I was excited because I was going to pamper myself before going out on a date for Valentine day. This was not my first visit to this salon and hence I went with my high expectation.
I got a global hair color with treatment and to my extreme dissatisfaction they never took care of the elastic of the mask that was being drenched in the hair color all this time from start to finish.
They could have offered a change of mask but they didn't. When I left the salon and removed my mask in the car I was shocked to see the side of my forehead and my ears with stains of the hair color so strong.
I immediately went back but it was too late the color had gotten so dark the stylist couldn't remove it all. I had no choice but to leave soon without my problem getting solved because the service took more time than anticipated.
I could still go back because I realized the disaster before leaving the area. Imagine if I would reach the destination and then saw my face. How could I have even lightened the stains at a restaurant?
I couldn't take a single picture on my date due to the stains around my face neither was I comfortable at the restaurant due to the pigment around my forehead and ears. What an utter disappointment my visit to this salon was. The stains stayed around my face for over 24 hours inspite of repeated cleansing.
I also messaged the stylist that how disappointed I was but her reply was a very standard template copy paste apology added with usually they change the mask but she forgot to be careful this time. All this dismay when I adjusted my time to get a luxury service from experts. Also the color didn't last long, after two washes I could see the loss of pigment near the front hairline.
The salon is English speaking and hence you pay the luxury price but these sort of experiences are not to be expected no matter what salon you visit. While this one boasts about its quality and expertise it simply does not justify the price one pays nor time one invests.
The support and the reply by the stylist could have been more professional and supportive. Her team at the salon was aware of the disaster and all they could offer was half hearted apology.
The simply copy paste an apology without understanding the intensity of damage they cause to the clients. A strict NO...
Read moreHORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. If you are a blonde or a brunette, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT GO! I never post reviews but since I decided to go to this hair salon due to the good reviews ,I felt the need to post for those who are doing the same. I asked for bayage , dirty blonde ( beige ) but first turned out purple( literally, my hair was streaks of purple) , then she redid it and next it turned out worse ( super yellow , and blotches of blue ) . Was not bayage at all. My natural hair color did not blend with the other parts, made it look super blotchy ( beyond blotchy ) I was there for 9.5 hours... she redid it the 3rd time and it went ash with dark almost black ... I’m not even lying ... close to black streaks.... I needed to leave because I needed to catch my last train. ( yes, because I was there for 9.5 hrs...) I have a huge headache from all the chemicals, feel devastated because my hair simply looks horrible. I got a refund ( they were going to charge me 39000 yen) but I would not have gone through this horrible experience even if someone was paying me 39000 yen. Not being able to get the color right is one thing but their customer service is not up to par either. Soon as I was seated, they were trying to sell me skincare products and how they were approaching me was just weird ( felt uncomfortable) rude, annoying ( telling me how lucky I am to meet this special skincare staff that they called “sensei”) and disrespectful ( the lady keep telling me how I’m “Kawaii” to make me feel good or something. Customers can tell the difference between genuine vs phony false compliments.... I’m 30, grown woman and don’t appreciate when someone keeps telling me kawaii ) . Along with the hairdresser, the “skincare staff “ just stood there trying to hold a conversation with me...worst...
Read moreI used to frequent the Hayato NY salon but now that I've moved to Tokyo, I decided to give Hayato Roppongi a try. It's quite interesting that the whole time I was there, I hardly felt I was in a different country and in a different salon! I think this says quite a lot about the protocols, quality and consistency Hayato offers across its salons internationally.
My hair, in a nutshell, is your typical out-of-control type. Before discovering Hayato, every salon experience had been a nervewrecking one. I always found myself sitting there nervously waiting for the end result, and more than a few times, my hair came out fried, especially after the long and arduous straightening process. I think every lady can understand the emotional damage that causes (no, seriously!). If you can't, just imagine going on the most important date of your life with with a deeply fried potato on your head. But since Hayato, I've been cruising through my salon experiences and I have nothing to worry. No idea what magic they do, but my crazy hair always comes out beautifully, and the stylists make sure they address every last one of your concerns before you walk out.
So no matter in which country you are, if you are the freakishly-nervous-about-my-hair type like I am, look for Hayato! I've had my hair done by Taichi, Toshi and Eri, and all three of them are excellent. Give it a try and I'm sure they will impress you and you will forever bid farewell to your...
