Edit#1: The owner's response to my review (see below) just confirmed that to their eyes, my family was indeed an inconviniece. Amazing attitude. The owner also mentioned that they would share my review with their staff. I wonder what they would share, "from this point on, please treat guests with young children even harsher"?
In addition, the owner was also plainly lying, by arguing that the staff asked the mother (my wife) to remind my son to be more careful, which was completely not true. What actually happened is that the staff went on scolding my son directly, as if my wife was not there at all. It seems the owner needs to trust their guests more, rather than placing a lot of unwarranted trust on their lying staff.
My family, including two young children, visited this restaurant last night hoping for a dine-in experience. While they mentioned being fully booked, the staff seemed to be casually cleaning and not actively cooking, so we inquired about takeout options. They reluctantly agreed, but informed us it would take another 30 minutes.
The entire interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming. To make matters worse, when my son innocently touched a dish and chopsticks on an empty table, the main staff member immediately scolded him. It was clear they simply wanted us gone, a stark contrast to my past experience as a frequent Uber Eats customer.
This is the only time I've tried dining in at KOREAN BISTRO BANJIHA, and the experience was deeply disappointing. Instead of feeling like valued guests, my family and I were treated like unwelcome...
Read moreHad a disappointing experience at this restaurant. We ordered Sundubu Jjigae (flavour was way overpowered by sesame oil) which was not great, and on top of that, we were charged extra fees that were never clearly explained.
The waiter brought us corn cheese, calling it an “appetizer,” even though we never ordered it. When the bill came, we were charged 1099 yen twice for it. When we questioned the charge, the waiter insisted it was standard for all customers. Only after further questioning and speaking to the manager did they agree to remove it from the bill.
It felt like they were trying to take advantage of tourists, which left a really bad impression. Be cautious when dining here and double-check your bill before paying.

The side banchans taste like mom’s and the pa-jeon (seafood pancake) was really good. Even though we didn’t have a reservation, they seated our family of four right away. The server was friendly and efficient, we had a great experience, and our...
