Kyoto Restaurant Ubcra — Restaurant in Tokyo

We enjoyed an impromptu drink and light snacks at the bar. They were busy, but the bar staff although not speaking too much English found some room for us at the bar. Without being overly friendly the bar staff were efficient and cordial. We didn’t try too much food, so can only review what we had, and to be honest it was quite good. The sashimi of tuna was fresh and the octopus was crunchy which was a first for me. We also tried a Kyoto region dish of sashimi and a raw egg in a yam paste. Although it looked a little like ‘baby food’ (once mixed up), it was surprisingly delicious. It had a course texture from the yam paste but the egg gave it a lot of flavour and the sashimi complemented it perfectly. The restaurant had a pretty young and chilled crowd and there seems to be a few groups out enjoying themselves on a Friday night. If you’re looking for a causal but fun night with decent food, you can’t really go that wrong here: it was perhaps a little pricey, but not too much considering the food was of a pretty...

Cool décor, hip atmosphere but average food and unfriendly, unwelcoming service. Basically, if the front-line staff of a restaurant were all replaced with club bouncers this is what you'd get - unfriendly and might I even say what can be perceived as judgmental attitude. Prices were more than average but aren't out of place in a place like this. They serve Japanese (apparently Kyoto-influenced) and the portions are quite small.

Coming here just for drinks is fine though; the place is nice, the location is convenient and it's not like you're drinking with the staff. However, I don't recommend it for bigger groups; rather, smaller...

久々にやってしまった、外観に騙されてしまったパターンです。 二度と、行きません。 フードは食べていませんが、今回経験した範囲を鑑みれば、相応のクオリティーしかないでしょう。

外から見るととてもお洒落です。 外にメニューもあり、リーズナブルだったため、ちょい飲みに良いかと友人と入店しました。 外観のお洒落さに反し、店内は汚いです。 経年劣化したインテリアばかり。 埃臭い。 それを反映させたかのような酸化したお酒でした。 ライムウォッカ、不味い。

1時間位いましたが早々に退店することに。 間際に2階のトイレに行きました。 ただでさえ薄暗くて段差も多いのに、階段には雑貨？がディスプレイではなく乱雑に置かれていました。 危ない。

そして、トイレが臭い。 もう少し居たら戻しそうです。 掃除が行き届いていない。 水を流すボタンが壁から剥がれ、後ろの棚の上に置かれていました。 古いテープの補強跡があり、ここ数日で壊れたものではないことがわかります。 トイレが臭い店は、本当に、本当に気が滅入る。

600円弱のドリンクとチャージ代で合計1000円位でした。 こんな設備にチャージ料を払わされて最悪ですね。

ホールも2人のみで、オーダーやお会計を頼んでも待たされます。 疲れているのか、最低限の接客です。 また、2人しかいないせいか、2階には客を通さず、1階ですし詰め状態な席案内でした。 店を回すための工夫とは理解しつつも、今の時勢下、不満でした。

恵比寿で飲む事が、この日初めてでした。 勉強代としてとらえます。
