Le Bon Vivant — Restaurant in Tokyo

Simple dining, but erratic service. Sitting and waiting an inordinate amount of time and then being served AFTER other tables that arrived 12-15 minutes after us was unconscionable. This was lunchtime with only a choice of 2 set meals, so no reason for such silly happenings.

Then they forgot soup spoons for the soup course. Really??? The tipoff should have been when there’s a help-wanted sign posted directly on the front door of the restaurant!

Pork Entrees served barely warm. Flavors were spot on, but how hard is it for a restaurant to serve hot food? That’s sort of their job…

Some of the best French restaurants in the world in Tokyo, but this is certainly not one of them when it comes to the service.

And then, to top it all off, they add 10% on the bill, not for tax, but for SERVICE CHARGE. This is an “hidden charge” it’s not disclosed anywhere on the menu or the sign board. That sort of adds insult to injury.

お客様との会食で利用させていただきました。 以前から何度も利用していましたが、経営者が御息女に変わったそうです。 先ず席に着くと飲物のメニューを渡され、お選び下さいとのこと。 予約してあったコースに付いているのではなく、席に着いたらワンドリンク頼まなければいけないのだそうです。 しかしそのような事は予約の時に聞いておらずプライベートならまだ良いですが、こちらも予算のある食事会なのでお客様の前で押し問答になってしまいました。 新オーナーの仰る原材料の高騰や値上げせずの努力は、私達や私達が接待している当店のお客様には何も関係の無いことで、あの様な強い態度で言い返されては二度と利用する気持ちにはなりませんし、客商売の方の態度ではありません。 コースの提供のテンポも遅く、とても待たされました。 コース内容も確かに原材料の高騰が有る様にお見受けしました。 パンにバターが無かったのですが、また押し問答になるのが怖くて聞く事が出来ませんでした。 因みにナフキンはありません。別料金です。 可愛いらしいお店で気に入っていましたのに残念です。

追記 びっくりな返信をいただきました。 誠心誠意は押し付けるものではなく、サービスを受けた側が感じ取るものです。 事前に説明を受けていなかった事、そしてその「今回は結構でございます」という言葉がどれだけ高飛車であるかがお分かりにならないのですね。 寂しいのはこちらです。 客商売において甘えた事を仰らないでいただきたいです。 重ねて残念です。

追記に対する追記 昨年の４月にやはり食事会で利用させていただいた時にナフキンは別料金だと言われましたので書かせていただきました。嘘は申しておりません。 毎月色々なお店で食事会をしますが、着物で伺うと汚さない様にといつもより大きなナフキンやエプロンをサービスしてくれるお店が多いです。 こちらは今回もナフキンはありませんでした。 バターは言っていただかなければ分かりません。 ワンドリンクは予約の電話の時に教えて下さるのが普通だと思います。 ネットの記載をこちらで確認しなければいけないと言う事なのですね。 事実しか書いておりません。 当店のお客様も気分を害されており、こちらの営業活動にも影響があるので投稿させていただいています。 クレーマーの...
