Never had viet food in Tokyo before, but this place is definitely somewhere I’d go back again.
This place came recommended by one of our crew members, so we wanted to try it out for dinner and drinks.
The place is nice and big, definitely wouldn’t have any problems dining in a group. Mike, our server was very friendly and was more than happy to explain the menu to us and teach us how some of the dishes are supposed to be enjoyed.
My viet cuisine vocabulary doesn’t go far beyond banh mi and Pho, which they have, but we chose to venture out and order dishes we haven’t had before. The menu came in English with nice pictures for those like me who eat with their eyes first.
Sorry I didn’t get names for the dishes this time, but check out the pictures I took for you. All of the dishes we ordered tasted fresh and healthy, in a good way. If you know me, I’m not a big fan of “healthy” food, but man did I eat a lot! The textures of the food are definitely something that I enjoyed, along with the taste. One of the dishes we got was a spring roll type wrapped in steamed rice paper. (Almost like mochi). Another was a meat spring roll that was deep fried to a crunch. (Similar to a Filipino lumpia, but the wrapper is different, almost as crunchy as a crackling). For our mains, we got an omelet type dish which you wrap in lettuce. Inside the omelet were veggies and shrimp. I would say this might be their version of okonomiyaki. And a noodle soup I would closely compare to a tan-tan men. It has a spice kick to it but mild enough for weak ones like me. But the peanut taste of the broth is what sold this for me.
Overall, I think this is a place to discover some more. All of what we ordered were really tasty, and I can’t wait to try out their...
Read moreIt is a very nice place and the food is really good. We had two rounds of spring rolls. Imagine that 😅. The chicken pho was also tastier compared to other restaurants that I had tried before. Also the Vietnamese pancakes (banh xeo) were very nice !! Spicy deep fried tofu was also my favorite. Last but not least Banh mi. I have banh mi with roast pork. It is not the best but delicious. meat ball wrap with lemon grass. What more!! 😂I haven't tried vietnamese beer and sochu, but my friend tried it and told it was 👍Talking about the service, the staff was very friendly, helpful and they can even speak English. One of the best friendly service I've been...
Read moreFood was excellent, service needs help. We walked in for dinner and we're seated at the bar. We weren't given proper settings at all and had to grab them ourselves from other seats that were properly set once our food arrived. Servers seemed to treat us who were the only ones seated at the bar as a bit of a nuisance and attended to table guests more attentively. Besides the generally inattentive service, the food was amazing. The Pho broth was incredibly delicate and just what we needed after our long trip into the city. Overall the food is amazing and service could be friendlier towards...
