Just stayed here for several days towards the end of our trip. Overall, I’d agree that this hotel is mid. Of course, you have to pick and choose at certain price points so here’s what we found during our stay!
Pros:
Cons:
Regarding the staff, they had a younger crew. I do agree with many other reviews that the female workers were more accommodating and approachable. The young guys candidly just didn’t have the best customer service skills or friendliness/care as we experienced at the 4 other hotels we stayed at throughout our time in...
Read moreMy husband, son and I are spending two weeks in Tokyo and booked two rooms at the Alfit Hotel & Bar in Akasaka for the entire time. We got a rate of about $180/night Canadian.
The rooms are small but they're totally adequate and you have everything you need. There's a bar fridge and a safe, a small bathroom with tub and a nice firm queen sized bed.
The rooms are very quiet and have room darkening curtains which I very much appreciate.
The staff have been top notch. At one point we were getting some weird charges on our credit card from a 7-Eleven. We didn't bring a cellphone and had no way to contact the credit card company but the front desk staff allowed us to use their phone to call and sort the situation out and we were SO appreciative.
They offer a Happy Hour in the downstairs bar every afternoon and early evening with a 20% discount on drinks and they also have a small appetizer menu, board games, etc.
The cleaning staff have been great and the Hotel is in a fantastic foodie area. There are a zillion fun restaurants within walking distance, a post office, corner stores and metro stations. We'd totally stay here again.
Kudos and Thank you to the Alfit Hotel Staff....
Read moreMy partner and I visited Japan during cherry blossom season, a lot of the hotels were very expensive. Alfit fit the bill, roomy enough for one guest but tight for two (we booked the small/standard room). We were hardly in our room so this place worked for us, but it was a squeeze!!
Pros: very clean room, great toilet, supplied comfy pajamas, affordable, awesome location (near lots of restaurants and cafes), close to transportation
Cons: nowhere to store our luggage and no drawers for clothes (1 large luggage and 1 small roll on took up a lot of floor space), funky smell that would come and go, the hot water in the shower would go from warm to scorching hot without touching the knobs. My partner got pretty red/burnt after one incident. Our room butted up to an alley (no view, just a frosted window)
Staff: polite, quick when requesting an iron and ironing board, helpful when we wanted to see other available rooms
I would stay here again, but maybe get a slightly larger room with a window that...
