Mamma Luisa's Table — Restaurant in Tokyo

Used to be good, but.....we've been there when the owner was on holiday a few months ago and we've been clearly cheated with the cake set. I know the owner would never do such a thing, but whoever works there, to me represent the restaurant.

We were clearly given half portion. I took the same dessert couples of days before and the same day the near table took the same dessert. So I know that we were given was half portion.

But when I confronted the staff, at first they told me that was the full portion, I then make him noticed that I KNEW what a full portion look like, so at that point the story changed and I was answered back that I asked for half portion ( never did that ).

After been answered like that, I start to doubt and I believed a miscommunication happened... and I did not insist further.

But when I went for paying, I've been definitely charged for two full cake set price.... why? not sure... to gain what? I don't know... surely they lost me as a client(s) and everyone I always recommended this...

We went for a special occasion and had high hopes but the service was appalling. We had to wait 40 minutes for dessert and a drink after the server kept on prioritising another larger group. For that full 40 minutes I had no drink, and even our water was not topped up (but the large group had excellent service, getting all drinks and water topped up). Our desserts were sat out on the side most of the 40 minutes (the server was also plating up dessert) so they arrived warm (supposed to be cold mousse). To add insult, a few minutes later the late group ordered dessert and they arrived within five minutes! Felt like we were not as welcome and were no where near as well cared for. Would not recommend for that reason as the meal for two was not cheap but service ruined the...

Been here at least 3-4 times. Every time, whoever comes with me is super happy with their food, the ambience and the service.

One owner chef in the kitchen, using family recipes as well as others... What more could you ask for. The flavours are strong but delicate at the same time.

I make decent Italian food, even one or two similar dishes, but I'm still learning new things every time I come.

My partner is vegetarian and there was one starter and one main vegetarian. Maybe the only thing that could be improved is one more vegetarian main on the menu. The menu does change so at least she is eating a different dish...
