My JET ALT and international friends had the most intimate and wonderful time last night celebrating Christmas party. Since most of us were all craving authentic and delicious Filipino cuisine, we made reservation and it was the best decision ever!! The owner was welcoming, accommodating, and friendly.

In fact, as soon as we came in, they warmly welcomed us with everyone’s all-time favorite ADOBO and AFRITADA already served on the table waiting for us to devour. A few minutes later, lumpia shanghai and pancit were served, too. Every good bite was worth a happy little dance. We truly felt home for a moment.

It was a course meal by the way so we were happy and satisfied to have chosen that option. It wasn’t only worth happy little dance but also the money we paid for. So if you’re looking for a Filipino restaurant in Tokyo, please come and visit Manila Spice. You really should!! ほんとうにおしかった！LEGIT ANG SARAP!!

If you find yourself in Japan and in the Otsuka area, be sure to take moment and visit Manila Spice.

Away from the hustle and bustle, this cozy restaurant does a fantastic job of bringing home-cooked Filipino food that is no-frills, familiar and extremely comforting.

My friend and I had the best time as the owner AND cook of the shop spoke English, Japanese, and Tagalog which in turn made us feel extremely comfortable. Talking to her was like talking to an old friend or cousin you haven’t seen in awhile and extra bonus points to the other patrons there who shared their love of baseball, early formula racing, and Hoppy with us!

The food is exactly what you would expect with no fusion or fancy names. What you see is what you get and believe me, you’ll want more than 1 plate (we ordered DOUBLE Lechon Kawali)

I'm not one to give reviews, but my experience was truly that great that I felt compelled to give one! It's really a five star experience! I came here as I was missing food from home, and It truly didn't disappoint! With one bite of the Lumpia, I was transported back home. I ordered the Bicol Express and it was sooooooo good that I ordered it again!

Not only was the food was great, but so was the service! The owner was truly kind, and she asked for our preferences on things like spice level. She told me that one of the items, Kare Kare, was not available, but she would have gladly made it for me were I to come again. It really made me feel special!

There's thousands of restaurants here in Tokyo for me to try, but I'll come back again because of the great food and...
