I’ve visited this restaurant at least 50 times in the past year, roughly once a week, but today was my last visit. The food and the manager deserve 5 stars, but I’m giving this experience 1 star due to one staff member—a male waiter wearing glasses. Despite recognizing me as a regular, he consistently maintains a cold attitude and has mistaken me for a delivery person a couple of times (which is fine for as I don't really care). However, today was unacceptable. On a rainy evening around 9:30 PM, the restaurant was nearly empty. It was clear this staff member was eager for me to leave, as many staff were already departing, and he seemed impatient to close up.
I was in the middle of an important meeting with a guest, but I felt pressured from by this waiter to leave. I politely asked what time the restaurant closed, as I’d never stayed until closing before. He replied curtly, “10:30 PM.” I said, “Okay, so I guess I have a little more time!” He then insisted, “Please pay now,” in a tone that wasn’t overtly rude but far from polite. When I responded, “Okay, but I still have time, right?” he reiterated, “Yes, but pay now.” His irritation became increasingly apparent, so I paid to avoid further tension. My guest also felt uncomfortable due to this pressure, forcing us to cut our conversation short and leave.
I don’t expect special treatment as a regular, but I certainly don’t deserve this kind of...
Read moreMEAT YAZAWA offers an unforgettable dining experience for meat enthusiasts, featuring a range of notable positives and only a few minor considerations. The highlight, undoubtedly, is the exceptional quality of the meat. Each cut is a masterpiece, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor.
The variety of sauces available adds an exciting dimension to the meal, allowing you to customize your meat to your liking. And let's not forget the garlic rice in extra price, a savory side that perfectly complements the main course.
While the food is a standout, the restaurant can get a bit noisy due to its popularity and vibrant atmosphere. However, this liveliness also adds to the overall dining experience, making it a great choice for celebratory occasions or gatherings with friends.
It's true that MEAT YAZAWA falls on the higher end of the price spectrum, but the quality of the meat and dining experience justifies the cost. For a memorable culinary journey centered around excellent meat, it's a reasonable investment.
In summary, MEAT YAZAWA is a meat lover's paradise with top-notch cuts, delightful sauces, and tasty sides. While it can get a bit noisy, this liveliness adds to the atmosphere. The slightly higher price is understandable given the quality of the food. If you're looking for an exceptional meaty dining experience, this restaurant is well...
Read moreI went when it opened on a rainy weekday, so I didn't have to wait in line at all.
The restaurant is clean and the staff are all very polite and nice. I got the Hamburg + Chateaubriand combo. The dipping sauces they have were very good.
However, the meat itself was just alright. This is the top rated hamburg place on Tabelog in Tokyo, but honestly the hamburg here was nothing special and I've been to many places that were way better, like Shoutaian in Shibuya. The hamburg here had bad consistency (crumbled when you try to pick it up and put it in the sauce) and was not very tender.
The chateaubriand was good, but when is chateaubriand bad? I didn't find it better than the chateaubriand at say the nearby Steakhouse B&M, and the chateaubriand at places like Ushigoro-kan blow this one out of the water.
Overall the meat was fairly meh and left me wondering why the price and ratings...
