Mon Sushi — Restaurant in Tokyo

The food is good but not good enough to offset the service here. The food service is very slow and they don’t have enough staff in front of the restaurant to be attentive to the customers. We constantly had to ask the staff to clear the dirty plates at our table for the lack of space to eat. Both my husband and I got the sushi course meal to test this place out. This costs ¥8500 per person. The course meal started with us getting a mozuku somen as an appetizer but we couldn’t have it without the dipping sauce which we waited a good 10 minutes for it. So we just had this appetizer sitting in front of us but we couldn’t eat it. Turns out the kitchen staff didn’t even remember to bring it out. Then we ordered some sake to go with our meal and the waitress accidentally spilled sake onto my skirt. This definitely didn’t make the experience any better. Part of the sushi course was to have 8 maki rolls but the chef forgot about it!! We were waiting so long for it until we couldn’t wait any longer. The service was so slow we were approaching a 3 hour meal and we had to leave because we had to let our babysitter go. We are never coming back here. There are much better places than this. Amazing sushi place in Hatagaya! The shop is already at the third generation and you can actually fell the history of this place !

The owner is really friendly and is always happy suggest fresh items in the menu. The sushi quality is really high and the range of ネタ( sushi types) is pretty wide and change depending on the period.
