msb Tamachi Uokin — Restaurant in Tokyo

Shoutout to tourists and expats here especially English speaking individuals. Thought for a long time about posting this review but since Japan is opening up, thought it’s a good time to leave this review.

The customer service here was atrocious. We made a reservation that day, requesting for counter seats but realized the table was not set aside for us. And when we were ushered to a (non counter) table, the waiter used a filthy rag to wipe the table in a hasty manner that threw bits of food leftovers from the previous customers onto my shorts. When my Japanese husband told him about what happened, the waiter was not sincere at all and brushed off the situation by saying he did not know what happened.

A great seafood centric izakaya in Tamachi. It's a more quiet station in metropolitan Tokyo and not much around so it's a more "local" atmosphere. A lot of people coming here after work as well as some families. It's a smaller place relatively speaking so you'll want to make a reservation and the reservation tends to be in two hours blocks. The food is fantastic. The seafood is fresh. Cooked to perfection. And the price is surprisingly low which is also a great bonus. I'm not sure if they have an English menu though. My Favorite Spot Near Tamachi Station!

MSB Tamachi Uokin is hands down my favorite place to eat near Tamachi Station. The seafood here is consistently fresh and delicious. Their sashimi platter is always a must-order, and the variety never disappoints. The grilled fish and seasonal specials are equally impressive.

The lively atmosphere, combined with attentive service, makes it a great spot to enjoy a meal, whether with friends or solo. Even when it's busy, the quality never falters, and it's well worth making a reservation to secure a table.
