Najirane — Restaurant in Tokyo

We had a wonderful experience at Najirane, a whiskey bar in Tokyo that exceeded all expectations. Having visited several bars in Kyoto, Osaka, and Tokyo, this one stood out. My wife and I are whiskey enthusiasts, and it was immediately clear that the bartender-owner shares our passion. His expertise, craftsmanship, and dedication to whiskey were evident in every aspect of the experience.

The selection of bottles was impressive and intentional, with a particular focus on nuanced and thoughtful Japanese whiskeys. After some conversation facilitated by Google Translate, we quickly connected with him. He generously offered us the opportunity to sample rare, off-menu items—gifts from industry friends that aren’t available for purchase. This hospitality and his gracious demeanor made the evening unforgettable.

The atmosphere was cozy and jazzy. We arrived early and were the only guests for a time, making the experience feel intimate and unique. While the personal and intimate scenario contributed to our deep enjoyment, and YMMV, Najirane is a gem we can’t recommend highly...

A delightful spot. Your bartender is an absolute professional. There is a very robust selection of whiskey and scotch from around the world. We came to try Japanese whiskey. There is also a long cocktail menu, including many classic cocktails that are no longer common on American menus but still well worth sipping. Tokyo has countless amazing bars, some of the best in the world — this is definitely not one of them. The bartender was incredibly rude, condescending, and constantly interrupted our conversation for no reason.

This is my personal experience so take it with a grain of salt. However, If you're looking to ruin your night, this is the place and I will never recommend or return here...
