We had a wonderful experience at Najirane, a whiskey bar in Tokyo that exceeded all expectations. Having visited several bars in Kyoto, Osaka, and Tokyo, this one stood out. My wife and I are whiskey enthusiasts, and it was immediately clear that the bartender-owner shares our passion. His expertise, craftsmanship, and dedication to whiskey were evident in every aspect of the experience.
The selection of bottles was impressive and intentional, with a particular focus on nuanced and thoughtful Japanese whiskeys. After some conversation facilitated by Google Translate, we quickly connected with him. He generously offered us the opportunity to sample rare, off-menu items—gifts from industry friends that aren’t available for purchase. This hospitality and his gracious demeanor made the evening unforgettable.
