Bistro Nohga — Restaurant in Tokyo

I recently had brunch at this bistro in Tokyo that promised a delightful experience. The venue was stunning - a beautifully designed space with lovely decor and a charming atmosphere. It was the kind of place you'd want to linger in and enjoy a leisurely meal.

However, the service was shockingly poor. The staff seemed disinterested, almost resentful, of having customers. They were unresponsive, and at times, downright rude. It was as if we were inconveniencing them by being there.

It's a shame when a restaurant with such potential is let down by its staff. While the setting was gorgeous, the overall experience was soured by the unpleasant service. I left feeling disappointed and unlikely to return, which is a pity, considering the restaurant's beautiful ambiance. Food was good. I found it all a little dull in flavour and variety. The gnocchi was an inter take on it but would probably not order again. The aged fries looked like the refried breakfast potatoes which I suppose covers aged, definitely not fries but quite tasty.

Mains I only had the chicken, nice with good flavours and the fish, again nice and with decent flavours.

Overall it felt a little overpriced for the experience. Also do not trust the allergen information as with gluten it was basically non existent. This is a Japan thing so no stars lost.

My wife and I went there with a friend. My friend liked to try the set meal dinner but my wife and I weren’t hungry at all that we don’t think we could finish 6 dishes meal. Two of us wanted order la carte. They accommodated our preference. I ordered soup and a fish dish. My wife ordered chicken salad and risotto. They then asked if two of us would like to share each other’s food that they’d divide our dishes for us. It’s really nice. Even better, the divided portions were generously sized ( in Japan standard). So in the end, we were happily stuffed with 4 tasty dishes. Great service...
