New New York Club Bagel Shop — Restaurant in Tokyo

I have been living in Tokyo for 3 months and this was just the breakfast I needed. Does it taste exactly like a NYC bagel? no. Does it taste like a very good bagel? Definitely. I haven’t eaten all the bagels Tokyo has to offer, but I would assume that this is about as good of a bagel as you can get here.

I went with an everything bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese. I don’t normally add Ketchup to my bagel sandwich, but I did this time and I wasn’t disappointed. Overall, it was a very good bagel and I would go as far as to say the experience reminded me a little of home.

Just for good measure, I got a cinnamon raisin bagel and cream cheese to go. It made a great snack later in the day while I was studying.

We have visited this place several times as it was close to our hotel. We never had to wait for a table.

The morning and mid-day bagels are pretty good, if expensive, and the carrot cake is excellent but in the evening, they switch to some kind of bar or beer house concept and stop serving bagels. Instead, you only get the choice of a few expensive and small plates of chicken and rice, or appetizers, and some selection of pricey beers.
