This Michelin star resturaunt was classic and sophisticated. The staff was friendly and welcoming , taking your coats in the beginning. It is a whole experience, having each dish explained to you in detail as it’s served as well as watching the chefs prepare in directly in front of you. Each dish was beautiful and carefully prepared and the chef seems proud of his work. They were kind and asked me multiple times in English if I was enjoying the meal. I got to enjoy the 11 course kaiseki set that was healthy and beautifully prepared with seasonal ingredients. I was given over 5 cups of tea to complement the meal. The menu changes monthly so this is just a taste of what they have to offer. A wonderful experience over all!

We come to celebrate the finish of marathon race. Food is good, but the first several dish serves quite rush, seems trying to push to the same tempo with other guests. The kitchen behind the chef chat loudly, not feeling professional. Wine pairing is quite nice with modern style, but again. Quite feeling rushed. We order extra crab, mine is quite good, my wife’s seems over cooked. I would recommend no need to seat at the front bar table, most food was done by the kitchen, only decoration here. Table might feel more comfortable?

Such a magical experience! We enjoyed our Valentines date in the hands of chef Shinji and sommelier Aya. Their service was impeccable, the food was a Japanese delight, and the wine pairing was perfect. By far the best meal of our trip, we won’t forget this experience. ありがとう ございます

Simply an extraordinary experience! We sat at the counter where we watched the Chef/owner Shinji Ishida prepare each of our 12 courses delivered with a perfect wine pairing for each by co-owner Sommelier Yasuhide Tobita. We ate fresh local ingredients, including over a dozen different types of fish prepared with unique vegetables and sauces. The wines (and 1 sake) ranged from Burgundy, Greece, South Australia to local Japanese varietals.

Even more than the food, wine and beauty of each course’s presentation was the hospitality and kindness shown by the owners. Chef Ishida spoke limited English, but still presented personally in English each dish and a summary of the ingredients. Sommelier Tobita spoke good English and conversed with us throughout the evening, giving us background on not just the wines served, but on Japanese cuisine and dining customs. We felt very well cared for by these proprietors and believe this turned a very nice meal into an...
