This bakery opens irregularly, so you must check their Instagram page in the morning to know if they will open or not. The bread was fantastic and quite unique by Japan standards - definitely more of an authentic European vibe. However, despite arriving 10 minutes before the opening time indicated on Instagram, we waited in line for a full hour. Neighbors didn’t seem to like having their doors blocked, and I felt like an animal at the zoo because every single person that walks by gawks at the line. Wish they’d open on weekdays so I could avoid the crowd, but I’ve never seen them actually open on a Thursday.

Standouts were the chocolate bread and the sausage pastry, but everything was above average and reasonably priced. It’s hard to explain but the bread is average in size, but definitely above average in density.

I deduced a star for being cash only - it’s nearly 2024 and especially in the post Covid world, it’s unacceptable to pay cash for something you eat with your hands. I urge the owner to get with the times and accept...

お店のスケジュールに合わせられる日に来ればおいしいパンが買えます。それだけです。パンは個々に紙袋に入れてくれますがエコバッグは必要です。

並ぶ際の個人的な注意点… 並んでいる人の後ろに1列に並ぶしかないのですが、お客さんは清澄長屋の住人の方（ドアの前など）のご迷惑にならないように並んでほしいです。

私はいつも民家や店舗のドア前を避けていますが、他のお客さんは何も気にせずドア前をふさいでいる人が沢山います。出来れば車道側の柵？に沿うように並ぶと良いのですが、お客さん一人一人がマナーに気をつけてもらえたら気持ちよく買い物ができるのでは。

1番は店主がInstagramや張り紙で並ぶ際の注意をする事（ワンオペなのでオープン時毎回は無理）かなと思いますので配慮が必要。

近隣住人らしい方の口コミがあること、 自分も並んでいてマナーが気になったので追記で書いております。OVALさんのパンを買うために並ぶ際はなるべく気をつけてもらえると、パン屋さんも嫌な口コミをされずにすみますし、おいしいパンがこれからも食べられます。

当日のIG情報で11時オープン！今日こそ行くぞ！！で、1時間待ち！店主さんワンオペの為進みは遅い、行列だけど並んで買った！ カヌレとクロックムッシュがあればな〜と思ったけど無くて残念。パン屋に行ったら絶対に買うクロワッサンとカンパーニュを購入。
