Pasta Vola Tamachi — Restaurant in Tokyo

Amazing fresh pasta!! The store itself is small, counter seats only, and there’s always a queue for lunch. I arrived a little past noon and waited for about 20 minutes, but the food was definitely worth the wait.

I ordered: 釜揚げしらすと大葉とフレッシュトマト (whitebait, perilla, and fresh tomatoes) bread on the side and an appetizer

The pasta was absolutely fantastic. The noodles thick and chewy fresh noodles were tossed in olive oil with a strong garlic taste. The perilla and tomatoes were refreshing and kept the taste from being too heavy. The flavors were well balanced. A top notched pasta in Tokyo.

On the other hand, the bread and appetizer were not so memorable. Next time I’d get the pasta on its own without...

I’m so disappointed with a service. I booked the place in advance for a farewell dinner with my friend. I checked all the positive reviews and was so excited to go there.

The food was nice. However, the female waitress was extremely rude to us. She kept telling us that we have to leave and we constantly felt a pressure to leave. After all the pressure from the waitress and her pushy attitude, we had to leave earlier. At the end, we asked to split the bill and she was speaking with a passive aggression. After telling her a few times that we really need to split a bill, she agreed to write down a separate receipt. There were other people but she didn’t push them to leave. I think because we were the only foreigners there… After all, I am so disappointed to choose the place because of the waitress rude and passive aggressive attitude. Especially, I don’t recommend foreigners to go there.

As for the restaurant management, our booking was on December 20th, 2024 from 18:45 PM to 20:45 PM.
