I was prepared to a half experience and ended up totally impressed with the place, ambiance and most importantly the food! We ordered the chicken Dakgalbi that comes with two side dishes… and we ended up ordering the kimchi pancake and stir fried octopus. Lots of food for two people! All very delicious even though the dakGalbi was a bit too cheesy for me as compared to the ones I had in Korea… still it was delicious and very generous portion. The place was packed and the environment was very bubbly and pleasant. Staff are very nice and polite. I totally recommend the place if you are into Korean cuisine.

Back in Tokyo, we decided to visit this place again towards the end of our trip. The food was as tasty as when we visited the first time. Don't miss to order the steamed gyoza as a starter. Not sure what happened to the waiters, though. After having a great time with them some weeks ago, we were surprised to find all of them quiet, serious and non-chatty this time. Please make sure to treat and pay them well as they are providing good service. As a foreigner, you might want to consider asking for the meals to be prepared less spicy for you.

The lunch menu was pretty great! The service was pretty okay too. Food was tasty - I recommend the cheese kimchi chigimi. The samgyopsa was really tasty too. The bibimbap was ok - not the best. The soup on the other hand was really good! I think this is a great restaurant but it’s not my favorite in shinokubo - it’s still up there. I think the machine at the entrance with candy hearts is so cute. Great place - I’d go there again.

No english menu, most of the servers are vietnamese, they know limited japanese, they couldn’t explain to us very clearly. I hope there are japanese staff or maybe can speak english too. One of the vietnamese lady came out from the kitchen looks angry and ready to argue with us but thankfully there is one staff can speaks japanese well than the others. The vietnamese lady thinks she owns the place. Food is okay, but there are nice restaurants around that we tried...
