I typically never write negative reviews, but I feel inclined to warn foreigners of this place. There’s a screen outside where you place your order. Upon entering, there’s two young men working on the orders. My wife and I didn’t receive a drink, food, or any acknowledgment for 20+ minutes, and we figured it was because they were a bit busy and it was late. When my wife finally got half of what she ordered, we still had no drinks, so I asked. They went outside to check the order placing machine screen and returned with our drinks. Another 15 minutes passed, and I still didn’t receive my food. I asked, and they again went out to check without believing me, even though they were proved wrong the first time. I finally get my ramen order and the food is cold and they forgot the side dish I ordered. I then ask for a refund because we’re both tired, but they gave us a hard time with that. I hope this comes across as constructive criticism because the one young man preparing the food kept apologizing, but please be more attentive and more courteous to your customers. Not sure if it was because of a language barrier, but here is my...
Read moreCame here before 1am so we were the only ones there. Order on a machine outside. I was a bit skeptical and had a very high standard because of the reviews saying this was ‘the best ramen ever’ and I can confirm that it is true. The beef ramen exceeded my expectations. The flavours I cannot describe, it is excellent. They offer several different toppings/sides to try with the ramen and ALL of them tasted amazing. It actually surprised me that a ramen could be so versatile and be complimented by so many different sides. They have instructions in Japanese how to eat the ramen with all of the sides. I watched people outside decide if they wanted to eat this ramen and several of them walked away and in my head I’m thinking they just missed out on an unforgettable ramen experience. Makotoya is in my top 2 of ramen in Japan. I will keep thinking about this ramen long after I leave Japan and I can’t wait for the day I go back and get to...

Before entering the restaurant, there's a digital menu, where you make and pay your order. Then you'll receive a ticket and, when entering to the restaurant, you'll give it either to the host or to the chef. After 7-10 minutes they'll serve your hot meal. Not the cleanest, but it's a nice, small and relax local restaurant with authentic...
