Based on my experience, I would rate Mandarake Shibuya a 3 out of 5 stars. The store offers a diverse range of anime, manga, and collectibles, but there are certain aspects that could enhance the overall shopping experience.

Mandarake Shibuya is known for its extensive collection of anime, manga, figures, and collectibles. The variety of products available caters to different fandoms and interests, providing a one-stop destination for enthusiasts.

However, the layout and organization of the store might be somewhat overwhelming for some visitors. Navigating through the different sections and finding specific items could require some time and effort.

On a positive note, the store's authenticity and the availability of rare or hard-to-find items make it a treasure trove for collectors. The staff members are usually knowledgeable and can provide assistance and recommendations based on customers' interests.

In summary, Mandarake Shibuya offers a wide range of anime, manga, and collectibles. While the organization and layout of the store might present challenges, the authentic offerings and knowledgeable staff contribute to the overall shopping experience, warranting a...

I thought it was alright. There is a huge, huge amount of goods here but in reality there isn't really anything worthwhile here.

It does depend on what you're looking for.

They have a lot of stuff that is popular for Japanese people like Ultraman and Godzilla but outside of that they didn't really have much.

Card game people will likely find some stuff.

I was hoping to find some berserk, Metal gear, Kojima, PlayStation stuff etc. But they had nothing. The clerk even confirmed they had nothing from those brands.

They do have the odd statue etc but I found them to be massively overpriced. Much of what they had is actually cheaper to buy in Australia.

They do have some really old star wars/star trek figures and vehicles from the 90s which was really surprising. In great condition. Their Marvel Legends stuff is overpriced imho. All of this stuff is poorly organised and some are in baskets you have to sift through.

You can find some older black series figures for less than retail. Got Sandtrooper, Luke original black series for roughly 20$ aud brand new in box.

Tons of manga, anime but all in Japanese. Very tiny game selection.

I think the Akihabara...

Mandarake is simply a second-hand bookstore franchise store specializing in Japanese subculture. Founded in 1980, the store is headquartered in Nakano Broadway, Tokyo, Japan. In addition to offline stores, it is said that they are also operating mail-order sales sites and auction sites. Unlike other subculture stores, Mandarake has a lot of old products. So, among the products that can be seen everywhere in the store, there are also used products. However, it is said that the price is not completely cheap just because it is a used product. Rather, it is said that there are cases where they are sold without making a big difference from the market price. Mandarake is well-known as a place where you can get special rare items that are difficult to find elsewhere in Japan, even though they are used items.
