I was brought to Shiina by a friend as he is friends with the owner. We arrived around 7.30pm and it was pretty quiet with no line. There’s an English menu available options are limited.
You can order using a vending machine and hand the tickets to the chefs.
I had the chicken Paitan while the rest of our group had the salt soup and soy soup. They all came out looking delicious. Portion size was good.
My soup with delicious, full of umami flavours, not too salty and you could taste the chickeny goodness from the broth. The chicken itself was tender and succulent. Not at all dry.
One of the best ramen of my trip.

There is a vending machine at the entrance where you can place your order and hand the tickets to the cooks, however be sure to bring 1000JPY notes or coins as it is only cash and no card. Though it is a brand new noodle shop but I believe it has suddenly became one of the best Ramen restaurants in neighborhoods. When you are at this Shinjuku-gyoen-mae district I would recommend the Big Five noodle shops - Hototogisu, Shirohachi, Tokakyoran, Gotsubo and this Shiina. The 5 five star-shops!
