A complete disappointment.
Heard from a friend that this place has one of the best all you can eat yumcha in town so had to make my way there. Ambience and view were great. However, service is a bit on the iffy side for a five star hotel restaurant. My drinks took forever to arrive - i had to remind them of my order as they completely forgot. The additional mineral water i got was brought out, poured into a glass, then suddenly this glass was taken away without any word of explanation at all. I had to ask for the reason (turned out they brought me the wrong size bottle). There were a few ladies tending to us, one of whom was in such a foul mood. She spilled water when pouring and didn’t even apologise or wipe the table for us. The dishes we ordered were also mixed up. Had to ask multiple times. Last straw was when we got the wrong desserts, asked and were told to wait - which we waited for a while without any explanation AND suddenly 3 additional of our original order were brought to our table. Could at least have told us they were gonna do that… Such a horrible experience for a 15% service charge.

The food was truly exceptional, the service impeccable, and every detail — from the personalized menu to the thoughtful birthday message — was handled with such care, elegance, and warmth. You fulfilled every little wish and made us feel deeply cared for and celebrated.
We are especially grateful for the incredible effort that went into tailoring the menu to our dietary preferences. It was not an easy task — we don’t eat meat or eggs, and one of us avoids both meat and fish — yet every single request was taken into account and prepared with such dedication and attention.
The breathtaking view and the entire celebration will remain in our hearts for a very, very long time. We are incredibly happy and grateful that we were able to celebrate this birthday in such a wonderful and memorable way.

As regular guests of Mandarin Oriental restaurants worldwide, we were shocked by the poor service, lack of professionalism, and complete disregard for fine dining etiquette. • We were asked to split an appetizer with another table—an absolutely grotesque suggestion. • Our main courses arrived while we were still eating appetizers, and the only woman at our table was served last—completely unacceptable. • A dish containing extremely spicy peppers was not disclosed, causing one of our guests to fall ill during the night.
For a restaurant of this supposed caliber, the lack of attention to detail and guest experience is embarrassing. And yet, we were still charged full price for what was a chaotic, disappointing, and utterly unrefined meal.
