Steak Lodge Ikebukuro — Restaurant in Tokyo

The food has good portions and the service is great. That's about the only praise I can afford to give. The meat comes rare with the idea that we cook it on the hotplate ourselves however the plate gets colder than the shift into winter. The plate was hot for only 2 minutes. Now I'm left with steak that's burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. Even looking at this fact aside, the meat is so tough and cheap that I couldn't finish a single piece and had to spit it all out. Honestly it's astonishing that this is even possible.

A word of warning to anyone who plans on coming. This shop is buying reviews as shown from the lack of explanation for the 5 stars and the accounts all having under 5 reviews or just this one place. As nice as the staff is, the owner is a crook operating a blatent scam. I'd avoid this place at all costs. No matter how cheap and portionate the food is, if it's inedible, it's inedible.

Food safety is another thing I would be worried about when visiting here because if the meat is truly just frozen garbage from a store, serving it raw can have serious health complications as it is not prepared how tartar should...

Walking past this steakhouse, the aroma of sizzling steak was impossible to resist. The cozy, wood-log-themed ambiance perfectly matched the restaurant’s name, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The two female hosts were incredibly kind and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. They immediately recognized I wasn’t a local and thoughtfully offered me an English menu without hesitation. Their hospitality set a welcoming tone right from the start.

As for the food, the steak was excellent for the price—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The in-house sauce added an extra layer of richness, making every bite even more satisfying. Though I was dining alone, sitting at the counter felt comfortable and relaxed.
