Sukiya is one of my favorite restaurants. because I really like to eat gyuudon. especially the Cheese Gyudon. And I always order the same menu every time I come to a Sukiya restaurant. I always order the Cheese Gyuudon with the option of "tsuyudaku" 「つゆだく」. I really like eating gyuudon with lots of tsuyu and flooding the gyuudon.
But when I came to this restaurant, I ordered the same menu but I was disappointed because the "tsuyu" was so little. Even when I checked down to the bottom of the bowl, there was absolutely no pool of tsuyu.
I called the waiter to ask for additional tsuyu. and I was very surprised when I checked the Tsuyu, only a little was added. It was clean and had peaceful atmosphere when we visited there in Feb 2018. No fancy decor. No English speaker staff but no problem. They have menus ready; just point which dish or set you want.
