I came on rainy Sunday with my other two friends. We were so lucky as the cafe was not that too packed! We asked the waitress about food ingredients if pasta contains pork and alcohol or not. The waitress explained each menu carefully and clearly. She even explained other menu without us asking. So thoughtful🥹💕
We ordered banana pudding and pasta set, OMG i have to say spaghetti was the best meal we ate there. Pasta was al dente (which I rarely fine one in a usual brunch cafe/coffee shop in Japan), sauce was freshly made from tomatoes, I could taste basil inside with octopus mixed in. Banana pudding was really tasty, the hot bread was on the bottom and ice cream was on the top. So when you cut and spoon them into one, you can taste a right combination! The vibes was so cozy with plenty of plants, wooden interior and furnitures.
Waitresses were amazingly friendly! They provide the password WIFI as well and even let us eating the food slowly and enjoying a break after finishing the meal. They didn’t hurry us by taking the empty plates and glasses. I’ll definitely recommend this place to my other Indonesian friends and tourist coming to Shimokitazawa and hopping...
Read moreSunday Brunch is a nice breakfast spot in ever-trendy Shimokitazawa. A recently visiting friend wanted to try it, so we made a Sunday afternoon out-of-it and went to Sunday Brunch. I was worried that we wouldn’t be able to get a table, but we were able to despite it being peak brunch hour. NOTE: they do not accept reservations so go early, or there is a possibility you will wait. The service was friendly and prompt. I had the German bacon with egg on toast and potatoes, and my friend had the all-day set, which was shrimp pasta in a tomato sauce with broccoli. We both in enjoyed our meals although I will point out that I expected the egg that came with mine to be poached but it was actually hardboiled and cold – sort of weird, but didn’t ruin the dish. My friend also admitted that she probably should have had a French toast dish since that what they are famous for, but either way we were satisfied with our meals. I appreciated the fact that the portions were not too big, but rather just...
Read moreI’ve been here twice during two different seasons. I definitely came here for the atmosphere and the photo possibilities.
The desserts and drinks are gorgeous but the taste is very average.
During hydrangea season they have a hydrangea drink. It looks amazing but the taste and texture were not good. The drink contains shredded gelatin which had no flavor and really messed with the texture of the drink.
I ordered pasta as well it was pretty good, it had eggplant in a tomato sauce.
The cake slice pictured was during a different visit and sadly it was dry and bland.
I’d say go at least once for the experience and carefully select what you’ll order (whether you want something for...
