This Starbucks is at first very cozy with a more toned down ambience. But the toilets were absolutely shockingly disgusting! I've not seen such a poop stained and smelly toilet ever before, not even on highway toilets. The shared male / female toilet clearly hasn't been cleaned for months and is so vile that I left the cubicle immediately. The whole toilet seat has a thick dark brown orange coating and is too disturbingly unhygienic and vile smelling to do your business even while standing. No place to charge your stuff. There's a single outlet by the bathrooms that I was using, only to be told by staff I wasn't allowed. They claimed it's because electricity costs money (this doesn't seem to be an issue at any other Starbucks), yet when I offered to pay 100 yen to use it, they just said I can't because it's a rule.
Who made this rule? It certainly doesn't seem like anything that happens at any other Starbucks. This is Shimokitazawa, famous for tons of awesome cafes. Why the hell would you go to Starbucks in this neighborhood except to charge your stuff?

PS I didn't just plop in like a hobo. I had bought a drink and was sitting in the seat right next to it. No intrusion on others or safety issues.
