TACO R!CO — Restaurant in Tokyo

Taco Rico is/was my go to place for quick Mexican in Tokyo ahead of Frijoles and Guzman Y Gomez but this time was a serious disappointment. Carnitas in my burrito was very very dry like it was left on the counter overnight. It was chewy like jerky also. First time I didn't finish a meal from them. What was even worse was the Guacamole I ordered with chips! It's green colored but there are so many onions in this Guac that it doesn't taste like Avocadoes. Are they under a new owner/managment? I usually go once a month but if that is their new standard, I can't spend 8,000 yen for that. The chicken quesadillas were the same. I hope it was a fluke or I will need to go back...

The food is delicious, and huge portions for the price. It is a bit expensive but in line with other restaurants in the area. It's actually better value than their nearby competitor. The staff are super friendly and generous. They also speak English. My only complaint is they have very limited seating!!!! I wish they would have tables and more space to eat, because of this we had to do take out. But will definitely eat there again. We got the spicy chicken burrito and the steak burrito with chips and salsa....

Being from California Bay Area, have grown up eating Mexican food most of my life. The chicken was a bit salty personally and get the pico to be on the side. Nothing worse than having all the juices from pico drown your tortilla to the point where it falls apart. I think I make a better taco personally. It wasn't horrible but it could be better. Staff were nice but the set up gives Chipotle vibes.
