Takuan Botantei — Restaurant in Tokyo

We had dinner at this restaurant today. Upon entering we were kindly welcomed by the owner. What we noticed was that the floor was very sticky.

We had ordered five colas and four curries and a burger. The food was bland and not well seasoned. At checkout, we were told that all prices were exclusive of VAT making each dish cost about ¥1000 extra. We were out about ¥3750 per person, quite pricey for what you get and how it tastes.

Restaurant looks very dated, there were also many mosquitoes in the restaurant. I do not recommend...

Alhamdulillah this restautant provides halal friendly menu for muslim. I ordered 4 menus for 2 adults and 1 kid, beef rice bowl, chicken rice bowl, and cutlet Japanese curry, and also 2 daifuku. Unfortunately, we couldn’t finish all dishes because already full😂😂. The taste is so oishii for my family because muslim cant eat ricebowl randomly in Japan. halal menu only provided by few restaurants. The curry taste was just like an indo-kare but i like it, the portion is quite big for my fam. Sukiyaki and shabu-shabu only...

At the time of my visit, I was the only customer in the shop, which is a little uncomfortable to begin with. I had the halal shabu shabu and I was very eager to try it, but it surprised me how bland the broth is - I'm not sure if it's supposed to be that way, but most of this dish was just hot, wet vegetables without much taste. The meat was good, but there isn't much included. I don't think it was worth the price, unfortunately. You can eat here, but maybe get something else off the menu unless you're a big fan of hot...
