A wonderful and affordable restaurant, ran by the nicest family in all of Japan! During my time as a student I ate here practically every single day, and not once did I leave without a smile on my face and a full belly.
Thaliya is always completely packed during students’ lunch break, which is a testament to how popular of a place it is. For about 1,000 yen, you can get a delicious, filling set meal, and the naan is always all-you-can eat.
The memories I made at Thaliya — not just due to the pure satisfaction of enjoying their fantastic food which I never got tired of, nor yet simply due to the unbelievably affordable prices, but also thanks to the incredible warmth of the employees — are memories that I will hold as some of my most cherished moments in Japan.
I am proud to call the guys at Thaliya my friends. Nowhere else will you receive such homely kindness and respect, while also being completely satisfied with a delightful meal. You will not regret eating at Thaliya!
It saddens me that my time in Japan has come to an end, but I will continually be looking forward to eating here again when next I return! Thank you so so much for keeping me well fed this year, Nitesh, Nishan, and everyone else too....
