Good Morning Cafe — Restaurant in Tokyo

Other reviewers are right, the place does have a nice atmosphere. For that alone it gets two stars. Unfortunately, everything else about this place is lacking.

The food is very low quality for the price. In the three plates my family ordered, everything was about the same quality as a Saezeriya-like family restaurant, but for roughly three-times the price.

But what really tipped the scales to one star, was the smell of cigarettes. Smoking is allowing on the terrace. But whenever staff went in Ir our of that area the smell of smoke filled the restaurant. And, we were sitting in the area farthest from the doors, so I can only imagine how strong the smell was to the closer areas.

Basically, unless you are desperate for an over-priced beverage near the university, Good Morning Cafe Waseda...

I saw a waitress in the counter took off her shoes and using a tissue to wipe her bare foot and didn’t wash her hand. Then she use her bare hand to clean lots of water glasses with only one towel. These glasses are served with water to costumers later. What a great place! Trying to find somewhere in Tokyo where you can eat outdoors on a warm, sunny day isn't easy. This place has a cool atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, nice and simple menu that includes tasty European-style meals. Not noisy and with lots of local people of all ages in to eat - always a good sign! We went in the morning for coffee and breakfast and liked it so much that we went back in the evening for dinner.
