大学図書館トップクラスの蔵書量もさることながら、一部の貴重書を除いてすべて開架で、地下の研究書庫や雑誌のバックナンバー書庫などにも通常の利用資格で直接入ることができ、原則セルフコピー可能な使い勝手の良さが素晴らしい。ただしその代償として、本を破損する不届者が出やすい問題はあり、『法令全書』の特定の法令部分が破り取られていたり、有名作家の全集未収録作品の雑誌初出ページがまるごと切り取られていたのを見つけたことがある。付属・系属の中高校生のマナーの悪さに辟易したこともあった。地下の書庫は慣れないと迷って出口がわから...
