Was really excited to go here but once we got our meal, things went downhill. Let me start by saying we genuinely appreciate fine dining & course menus and come from humble backgrounds so we try not to be pretentious in our reviews. We came here for a birthday dinner but it seems the entire dinner was pretty forgettable. The service was just OK and we felt the staff were a bit unaware (ex. waitress poured still water when we asked for sparkling & left napkins/trash on the table for so long that we actually had to ask to have it removed). The drinks were TINY for the price point and they even tease you by leaving a whole jug of your chosen cocktail on the table but only pour you about 3 sips. Most importantly; the food was BLAND, boring and nothing special. Nothing wowed us or had any unique textures, tastes or mouthfeels. The presentation was also ok for a restaurant with a Michelin starred chef. I can see why they have not received a star yet. If you’re visiting Tokyo and have room for 1-2 fine dining restaurants on your trip, I would skip this one. Overly priced and...
Read moreThe entire experience was excellent from start to finish, and the one too many drinks holds much of the weight to this opinion. I'm totally joking, but definitely try the Espresso martinis; they are one of the best I've ever had! In all seriousness, putting the drinks aside, I was impressed with the views the restaurant gave to its customers. As soon as you walk in, the infinite natural plants greet you, the subtle light entering from the outside, and the incredible views of Tokyo and the Tokyo Tree Tower—very romantic vibes. As expected, the food was incredibly delicious, making it a great experience. However, what made this an extraordinary experience was the opportunity to speak with the Michelin Star Chef, Richard McLellan. He gave us his devoted time and attention as he answered all our questions. I don't know about you, but this experience is one I plan to return to when I...
Read moreThis place is 5 stars all the way. The restaurant itself is spotless and beautiful and with a fantastic view of Tokyo Tower. The food portions are small but that is to be expected. The flavor is good and the presentation is superb. But what made this experience amazing was our awesome waiter who was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. She helped make our night special. If you have a nice celebration coming up this is the place to be. Unfortunately, since we had been out and about sightseeing all day we didn’t get to dress up but we did not feel mistreated or looked down on at all by the staff. Getting to the restaurant is kind of tricky so I recommend getting there a few minutes before the reservation time to find the correct elevator. All and all a very fancy and...
