The Rooftop Butcher — Restaurant in Tokyo

First of all I have to be a bit more strict with my review because the prices are really on the premium side. For the rustic warm atmosphere, it was good.. The rooftop outdoor part looks very appealing but probably for warmer days. The manner of the staff wasn’t super friendly.. A little cold. The starter they gave (the little shu puff thing with savory filling in the last photo)… It was a bit unnecessary.. Because the flavors plus using the shu puff shell didn’t work at all… It wasn’t tasty and the textures were annoying. However, since this restaurant seemed more about the deep Chicago style pizzas, I ignored the starter. Hmmm.. So I ordered the Hot Chicago.. I felt for price it wasn’t amazing. Almost 2000 yen for a small pizza. The crust was ok, but when I cut it there it was a bit watery.. The tomato sauce wasn’t great.. Felt like the bacon cubes they used were quite chunky and didn’t taste like real bacon.. Honestly.. I would come back for the rooftop and atmosphere but for the price it was a really average...

This is not even remotely close to a Chicago style deep dish pizza and I would go as far to even question if this is pizza.

This was my experience ordering the "Chicago Cheese Republic" deep dish cheese pizza: The taste of parmesan cheese is overwhelming. The crust is so light it's more like a pastry. The pizza sauce is a meat bolognese- this was the first cheese pizza I've ever ordered that has meat. The "sauce" is under the cheese and pooled to the center of the pizza during cooking. When the pizza was cut the sauce created an oily pool of liquid that turned the pizza to a mushy mess. It was disgusting... truly horrible.

There's a table charge for each customer but you'll still be ordering your food using your phone....

The prices are very affordable! Unfortunately the deep dish style Chicago pizza is not any good. It looks deep in their pictures but once you cut into it with a knife, everything becomes watery and flat. I would have to say, even Domino's or Pizza Hut would be a better choice.

I went there because they had a rooftop terrace that looked good in their pictures. But when I got there, all of their plants were dead and the seats had bird poop on it.

The other gripe I have is in the beginning, it took a while to get my beer despite the place being nearly empty...
