Ueshima Coffee House - Higashi-Nakano — Restaurant in Tokyo

This is almost the perfect coffee shop as far as I am concerned.

It is both suited to come alone and focus on work/study, and for talking with friends or professional meetings.

Perhaps because of the jazz music being set at very low volume, and because of the interior's acoustics, the shop is never very loud despite many groups engaging in conversations.

Visually, with the large windows, subdued indirect lightning, and wooden and frosted glass separations, there is both a feeling of openness and intimacy.

The food and coffee is slightly more expensive than at competitor chains, but also quite a lot tastier.

The employees are notably polite and friendly.

The only points of improvement are that the AC is sometimes freezing if you sit right under it, and the lack of decaffeinated black coffee...

Out of the numerous Ueshima Coffees I've been to, this is the worst. Although there is a separate smoking room, the smell is VERY noticeable from the main room. The layout is a simple long hall with tables lining both sides. It's not as cozy as some of the other Ueshimas with more creative layouts. The single person tables have unusually low but large chairs for some reason, which makes you have to stand up straight to do anything at the table. For me, this kept my legs up high while my back is leaning toward the table, which was a very uncomfortable position. I would not recommend staying...

マンションと一体型となっている商業施設『ユニゾンモール東中野』の1階にある上島珈琲店です。マンションの住民御用達のカフェのように見えますが、休日でも比較的静かで、マンション以外の客（商業施設を利用している客）の利用も多いように見受けられます。スタッフもマンションの住民のみに優先的な対応をしてはおらず、全ての客に等しく良好なサービスを提供しています。 席数は充分にあり、主に2人～4人用に構成されています。比較的少人数での利用が多く、客の回転も悪くありません。休日でもほとんど待たされることなく席につき、料理やドリンクを堪能することが出来ると思います。ところどころにさりげなくクラシックな小さな小物がおいてあるのが、店の雰囲気のアクセントになっています。

Ueshima Coffee Shop is located on the first floor of "Unison Mall Higashinakano", a commercial facility integrated with the condominium. Although it appears to be a cafe for residents of the condominium, it's relatively quiet, even on holidays, and there appear to be many customers (customers using the commercial facility) who are not in the condominium. The staff does not give priority only to condominium residents, but provides equally good service to all customers. There is ample seating, mostly configured for two to four people. The cafe is often used by relatively small groups, and customer turnover is not bad. Even on holidays, you will be able to be seated and enjoy your dishes and drinks with little or no wait.
